Claimed to be a debt collector on an old account from 2004, wanted to get me set up on a payment plan. He had the last 4 of my social, my old married name, and an old address for me. Can't find any notes on this number so I'm thinking it's a scam. I only answered because it was a local Florida area code and I thought it might have been from my son's school. The account didn't sound right, a cell phone from Embarq with a balance of $600+ that was open for 8 months in 2004, before smartphones were the norm? Nope, not getting my information or money! Checking credit report now, because I don't recall that company ever being on it.

Scam!  The Caller would not speak Clearly

My husband received a call and voice mail from this number as well. The weirdest thing is 407-982-2036 comes up on the caller ID, but the they want you to call a toll free number. Well my husband called them and told them. They said it was about a Vonage account, which we never had! He told them to send him something in regards to the matter and said he could only pay by money order, they said the did not take money orders but he could go to Walmart and get a pre-paid card. These are CROOKS and I will be making a report to the PD. It worries me that they had the last 4 of his social...and not thinking he verified it with them. DO NOT SEND THEM ANYTHING!

Just got a call from the same number claiming to be a credit recovery service. She explained I have a past due bill about to go into collections and the client would like to settle immediately. The company is with century link now known as sprint apparently for a landline number from 1999. I've never had a landline, ever! There's another name associated with the account Nila lemons and I have no idea who this person is. Explain to her I was not even living in the town she claims this landline was in and does not understand I've never had a landline in my name. I told her I wanted to investigate to find out why someone has my Social Security number she told me this happened to her before where her mother put a bunch of stuff and her name. She was pretty pissed off when I said I was not going to pay this bill until I find out information on what it is it's not something I personally did not use. she gave me attitude when I told her I wanted to talk to century link or Sprint to find out more information. Sounds like a scam to me. Why would something from 1999 not already be on my credit report.

Got a call from this number on my work phone while away from my desk.  No voicemail message left.  Good thing I was away - being a local number for me, (Orlando), I would've answered it, thinking it was an incoming business call.

spoke to attorney this is a collection company very aggressive .they call different times last was 1047pm .what do they work 24/7 .
