- Lcanuck replies to Rodger| 2 repliesgot a call from 407-888-9999 on both of my numbers today. Both started with a recording that I won a free all inclusive vacation. First guy told me he wanted to blast my ass off when I pressed him for details about what company he was calling from. Second guy would also not tell me what company other than Holiday Inn Florida and told me to go f*uck myself. Nice solicitors. Anyone know what the real company is as these guys are rude and beligerant.
- Tanya replies to LcanuckGot a call on my business line this morning from this number. Started with a recording that I won a free all inclusive vacation in Florida. I pressed "9" so I could actualy talk to someone to be taken off this list. Guy came on the line and when I was finally able to get a word in edge wise he told me to shut-up and then to suck his d*ck. When I told him I was going to report his company he told me to who, who will care.
The caller identified himself as Ben Austin and the company name was Clypso Cay Resort. The website he gave me was BCAYresort.com (but I think I may have heard him incorrectly).
Telus (my service provider) tells me if they called into a business line I have no course of action. I can however, call PhoneBusters and apparently they work with the police, the number she gave me for them was: 1-888-495-8501. I am going to do everything I can to get rid of these vulgar guys. Disturbing. - Frosty CanuckWoohoo! I won a Caribbean cruise. "Joe" picked up the call after I pressed 9. I told him he should remove me from his calling list as I was logging the call on the Internet as we spoke. He asked if I wanted to speak with his manager. Ha! I said no, and told him to go get a real job.
Don't these efftards realize yet that the Internet tracks these kind of scammers? Sheesh.- Caller: Florida

Left a message of the sound their phone makes hanging up.
Ignore and thanks "do not call" registry in Canada yeah FAIL - Homer replies to LcanuckIt is not a business. It is scammers trying to perpetrate identity theft.
- AlAutomated call said it was my credit card company and my interest rate had dropped due to my good credit rating and push 9.
I did, knowing this was a scam.
They said they were my Visa Mastercard rate administrator, and his name was
Josh Miller with a heavy middle eastern accent. I asked him what bank he was calling from (to get info from him knowing this was a scam) he would only tell me www.creditcard.com.
I told them I am on the do not call registry, never give out any info over the phone, and that I would be ending the call, someone else stepped on the line yelling HANG UP NOW HANG UP NOW in a disguised voice.- Caller: www.creditcard.com
- haroldJust got a call from this number but they hung up as soon as I answered. They'll probably call back. What I always do is give them totally false info (ssn, home address, etc). Being that they like to waste honest people's time I figure I could waste theirs as well. They could spend hours trying to use this info for a financial gain... at least I hope so! These people are hard to track down because "software" allows them to call from any number they choose (even yours)! Be careful folks... My Blessings to all:-)
- linnTelemarketer called with automated machine announcing I had won a cruise to Florida and to press "9" to get more details.
I pressed "9" and was greeted by "Mark" I asked him to remove my number from his database. He told me that he could not do that unless I gave him my home address. I asked him where he was calling from, he replied" Costa Rica". I told that in Canada, where he was calling, I do not have to give him my address, just my phone number. He replied " That he was following US rules and he need my address".
At that point I asked for his manager (who did not introduce himself) I asked the manager to remove my number from his database, he said " That he need my address according to the rules in Florida" I told him that he was phoning Canada and in Canada I just had to give him my phone number.
At that point I gave him a fake address.
He then proceed to say " You have a very cute voice? How old are you? Are you single?"
I replied " This conversation is coming to an end, do not call my number again"
I found this whole conversation to be highly inappropriate. The most disturbing part is the fact that the manager sound very confident it turning this into an opportunity to gather personal information.- Caller: Cruise

- EmilyThese people just called me. I had three other calls in the previous hour from other numbers but they all just hung up. Then finally these people called and there was someone on the line. He told me it was my lucky day. I immediately knew it was a scammer or a telemarketer so I told him to get a real job and to remove me from his list. Then I hung up on him. Bugger.
- M LongThis the third call I've received from these guys after telling them I'm on the national do not call registry.
- Caller: they would not say

- i hate scammersThese scammers called me twice today and when I star-69'd I got this number. The first time I punched option 1 to talk to a rep when I knew full well it was a scam. When I said 'is this a scam?' the woman hung up on me.
I am on the 'do not call list'. - LM NCMessage regarding credit card and indicated to press '9' to start the process to lower the interest rate on the card and that this offer would soon expire.
- Lance. RCaller claimed that he is a agent for Experian and wanted to lower my credit card interest rate. Asked for account balance AND account number, which I of course refused.
- JLRelentless
- BeckyI answered, told to dial 9 to speak to a representative about my credit card fees. The rep spoke with a heavy accent. He told me I could get my % rate at 6.75 for life on my existing credit card. Then he ask for my information and my credit care number. I ask to be removed from their calling list but I have been called by a number similar to this about a week ago. Also when I called back to the number the recorded phone operator came on to inform me that it was not a working number.
- Caller: unknown
