The number if called reports being from EDD.  It is a non-staffed number and refers the caller to the main California EDD number of 800-300-5616.

Got a Google Voice call from this number, answered, got hung up on as soon as I said hello.  Absolutely no reason California EDD would be calling me since I don't live in California and am employed.

They called me few mins ago. I answered and no one on the other side. They hangup after i said hello few times. Samething happen about 20mins ago with different number: 949-412-5612

Yes, it is indeed EDD

It is definitely EDD, not a scam, they called me for a phone interview regarding my unemployment claim.

This is the display number for the California EDD (Employment Development Department).  They are calling for information regarding an unemployment or disability claim.  I was going to bomb the call, but I 1800notes'ed it, and I had been given a heads up by the person who they were calling about.

To guard against phish/spoofers consider if the EDD should be calling you if you haven't filed a claim or you are in a position to answer questions about someone who has.

This phone no. (408)261-6100 called my mom for an interview a while ago. She had an interview for EDD and my mom did not understand what she said so I the daughter asked question for her. So, this lady was not helpful. I don't like the way she talked, It seems like she's in hurry. She doesn't even let me talk, even asking question. I wish I got her name.

I was expecting a call from the EDD & this # just called me, it was a very aggressive Arabian man who didn’t even let me speak or explain the situation I was in before yelling that I am ineligible for unemployment & that I “wasn’t listening just talking”...? I was literally silent the whole duration of that phone call until 1. I told him my situation & why I needed the EDD’s help, and 2. When I asked to speak to another representative as I couldn’t understand what he was trying to tell me with both his accent, and anxious & angry demeanor.
To conclude, I asked him twice respectably to speak with another representative, he yelled that he was going to tell his supervisor I’m ineligible for compensation, & hung up on me. Enjoy.

CA EDD.  Pick up this one, they called me @ 830am when they said in between 10-12.

This is EDD. Called our Company and wanted to verify information regarding an employee. Legit.

Not a scam. It's defiantly EDD. If you have had an interview, you might receive a call from this number regarding your claim. They just want to verify your information.

So you are verifying that this is a scam, correct?  Because if it wasn't you would not have looked up this number.  Just so we are clear since I don't think that you are that intelligent, I am calling your post a huge lie.
