When /I said we were on the U.S. No Call List and were on a recorded line they said nothing and hung up.

said something to do with police officers and about officers killed in line of duty, talked so fast sounded like a recording I hung up

Let the answering machine answer. Woman's voice asked to speak with the head of the household if they are available, then they hung up when there was no response. Caller ID says Out of Area.

Picked up the phone and the caller asked for my name. I said hello. Then a short pause and all of a sudden what seemed like a recording talking about helping down policeman. The strange thing was the person on the recording had a southern drawl. I asked, "how come you changed your accent?" and he hung up. I knew it was another scammer.

Of the 50 Worst Charities (search on-line for complete list), 15 are police, firemen, or both "charities". I now refer to this list whenever I get called and have actually told some why I would never donate to them. Usually the hang-up is pretty fast.

Yet another.....5th nussiance call today. Didn't answer, they left no voicemail.
