Received a call from this number about some type of legal action. I could not really understand the caller since the foreign accent was very thick and the connection was bad. I was told something about legal representation. Due to the accent I really am not sure what it involved, but I am wondering if this is a legitimate call. For one there was a long pause before they said my name, and also they used a name which changed due to marriage in 2006. Anyone else getting calls like this from this number?

Just got what sounds like the same message as cutecat. Heavy accent from the "department of legal affairs", I'm sure it's just another scam.

Received a call with the same circumstances as cutecat.  When I asked for the caller's ("Daniel Butler") street address, he became rude - asked me why I wanted it - told him I didn't believe he was who he claimed to be - he told me to stop talking.  Have no idea what he really wanted because he was calling for my husband and wouldn't tell me, but he told me all legal consequences would be my fault!

We too just got a call. Sounds fraudulent.

Message on answering machine from this number.Thick Eastern European accent "Steve Robinson" calling from the "Department of Legal Affairs" giving me a "verbal notification about an enforcement action taken against my name". Said I better call back or have legal representation. Very hard to understand. This has got to be a scam.

Got the same call from this guy"Steve Robinson", saying he was from the legal affairs department, said that there was a case filed against my name, then transferred me to another guy with the same accent-sounds like of indian decent, claimed ge was a federal agent and that i have tax issues. When i mentioned i should call the police, said not to worry bec the police will contact me in 30 minutes, scared me more to death!!! But, then, hung up on me! So i called the IRS and asked if there was a problem on my name, they cleared me and said it was more like a scam. So many uf this guy calls you, dont be fooled, call the IRS and ask them instead.
