- SHeeg| 3 repliesCaller ID says Campbell CA. Automated voice message saying this was the second reminder from card services about my mortgage and referenced changes under Obama's legislation. I pressed 1 to speak to a representative. After a brief time on hold, I heard a man's voice answer and he asked for my name. Instead of giving him my name, I simply asked that my number be removed from their calling list. He hung up on me. Reported to do-no-call registry.

- TroyAutomated voice message saying this was the second important message from card services regarding my interest rates. Pressed 1 to speak to a representative and after short dialog they hung up. No indication of company name or who it was. If you try to call it back the voicemail is automated and full.
- MNmom2I thought it was a credit card company that keeps calling and so I pressed "3" to end the call, but then I heard a man's voice. He said something I didn't catch and I told him I did not want to receive these calls anymore. He replied "Tough Sh**"
- Caller: Campbell, CA
- MADinMNCaller ID said Campbell CA. When I answered I heard an automated message... something about a reminder from card services regarding my interest rates. When I pressed "1" to speak to a representative, so that I could opt-out of any future calls., a man asked me for my name. I told him I did not want to give my name and then I told him to remove my number from the calling list. He told me to "go to hell" and then he hung up on me. I tried to call back by dialing the number on my caller ID (408-412-4097) but my call went straight to a generic and unidentifiable voicemail account. I looked up the telephone number online to try and identify the caller. The telephone service provider appears to be Bandwidth.com CLEC - one of Bandwidth.com's products is a service called Phonebooth - a cheap, "business phone system". The service appears to cost only $20 per month for unlimited use, per user. Any idiot could set up a Phonebooth account to try and scam people out of their money. Obviously, that's what is happening.

- Phone FraudThe reason a large portion of the people are having trouble with this number is because this number is being "Spoofed" by Delta Outsource Group, a collection agency located in O'Fallon, MO. They will try and gather enough information to create an account. Many bank accounts have been drained by this establishment and many "Spoofed" phone numbers have been fraudulently used to aquire information.
This not only hurts people by the harrassment, but also hurts the establishment that the number belongs to.
Note: Insight Services is affiliated with Delta Outsource Group.- Caller: Delta Outsource Group

- cherokeeThis bunch of crooks will continue to call----because crooks do not obey the law.The no call list means nothing to them. They probably sequence call the entire phone book in every town. So forget about asking out of their list I have received calls from this bunch of SCUM BAGS from Fla,Ca,Mass, ohio,ne,or,wash, etc. They are operating a scam so DO NOT give them ANY info and that includes your name. The numbers probably are spoofed and that means, THEY ARE NOT REALLY CALLING FROM THAT AREA CODE AND NUMBER that shows up on your caller ID.---just another way to hide from us.
- daCalled saying card member services. I pressed #1 to 'speak' to someone and it hung up. I then dialed the number and it said 'this mailbox is full'! This Scam just keeps on going! Any class action suits against 'Cardmember services'?
- wildcatcalled twice today, pressed #1 to talk to these dummies. Asked their rep-. if he knew what a no call list was, he hung up on me.
- Caller: credit card services
- Fiddle-DDUse your cellphone feature to block calls from specific numbers. No, it won't stop the scammers from spoofing new phone numbers, but at least they can only your number once using that phone number.

- unhappyYes I got a call from this too. Internet said it is a spoofed number to fool caller ID.

- LINDA| 2 repliesHOW DO I GET THESE PEOPLE TO STOP CALLING ME? i DON'T HAVE A CREDIT CARD OR A MORTGAGE. WE LOST OUR HOME 2 1/2 YEARS AGO BECAUSE WE COULDN'T GET A LOWER PAYMENT. I TRY TO TELL THEM TO STOP CALLIN BUT THEY ALWAYS HANG UP ON ME. HELP
- Caller: UNKNOWN
- Dakota replies to LINDA| 1 replyYour use of the term "people" is considerably overly generous. You probably can't get them to stop calling -- they have been calling me for around 5 years now and it's always the same basic SCAM about lowering interest rates. I have found that connecting to the call and then immediately disconnecting (rather than answering or allowing an answering machine or voice mail to answer) does seem to reduce the number of calls. I.e., on a corded phone just lift the handset and put it back down or on a cordless press "talk" and then immediately press "off" -- or whatever equivalent buttons you may have. At least that takes less of your time and there are call block phones and devices that can automate the process somewhat. Pressing the number to be removed from their call list or attempting to ask them to stop calling is totally ineffective as whoever runs this scam has apparently decided that calling the same number 200 times is more cost effective than excluding the number. The call centers are likely located off shore and the "telemarketers" are probably paid less than peanuts.
Although it probably won't make much difference, but won't hurt either, you can report them to our bloated, ineffective, wasteful, pandering federal government bureaucracy at:

The best way to stop them over time is that nobody falls for their scam(s), the 2nd best way is that Congress pass legislation with very severe penalties for this type of activity and the telephone service providers enhance their technology to stop calls like this. - figithis will sound nuts but it was true and it worked. This medical scam that was calling me askin for my sister called. I told them she was in a group home (wich she is ) and i said ":u will not get her money." that company hasnt called back since. I think the words group home did it. disability peopel in group homes where teh home gets the check (or most of it) are evidently seen by scammers as a lost cause to pursue. I guess so would nursing homes and other such facilities...or mayeb they thot she was [***]..she isnt but there are more group homes for [***] peopel than those with serious psychiatric problems (which she has). that company hasnt called back since and its been at least a month. so it might be a way to get them off ur backs. maybe the company thot i woudlnt give htem the homes number --i dont know. i woudlnt have at any rate. or that she was just not worth pursuing because they rationalized there would be no money in it or she wasnt competent.
