It's scam! I looked up Craigslist to buy a vehicle. This seller post a very nice vehicle. The seller want to do this through Amazon payment center. It's good to be true so I called toll free number to Amazon about Amazon payment center regarding buying an vehicle through Amazon. The Amazon assured me that this is so very SCAM! Amazon said all their Amazon phone number are all toll free, none of number with area code. Watch out for Karen Evans, she claimed her jeep is in Oxford, Ohio but really, she's with jeep down in Fairbanks, Arkansas doing some deployment prepare before going to Syria for 1 year contract. What the Hell does when all army, navy and Air Force and marines do these contracts before deploy their own troops to foreign country. I called the military agency and they said they don't do no contract and I asked if they have Sgt. Karen Evans, they look up in all military database, no Sgt. Karen Evans... I repeat: DO NOT FALL FOR THIS! This is too good to be true but my experience, it's can for sure!

I would have to agree. I started getting the feeling that this deal was to good to be true. I looked up vehicle shipping from Alaska where she is now saying she is to SC where I am located. The cost was over $3,000. No way someone would be willing to ship an $1800 car for $3000 and run the risk of having to pay another $3000 if the buyer decided they did not want it. I have not yet been contacted by the number, just the name and email of Karen Evans, karenevans847@gmail.com.

Red flags --

1. Military - must sell quickly - going out of the country.
2. Ridiculously low price.
3.  You can't see the item.
4. A Gmail address for the seller.

SSGT Aurora Garvey husband died 2months ago and she is deploying in 2 weeks must sell quickly and is shipping from Fairbanks Alaska to Indiana.

Omg she did the same thing to me. Saying her name was Karen and her husband died and really needed to get rid of a 1999 jeep Cherokee for $1800 before she was deployed on valentines days.. My stupid self actually sent the money thru the amazon gift cards. An hour later I read some of these comments and was shocked! I immediately called the real amazon care center and they were able to save my money by putting it on my amazon account.. If I would of waited til the next day I would of lost all of it..  Never again will I think about buying a vehicle online..

Never buy expensive  goods (especially cars) sight unseen.  And especially if the seller is a private party.  Always examine the car or truck personally and always request proper ID and make sure the ID of the seller matches the registered owner of the vehicle.  Never pay with anything but a traceable financial instrument.  Never pay with cash.

Susan Williams was selling her 1998 Chevy Silverado for 1800 only wanted to go through amazon well we got the email from Amazon looks legit called the number that was spose to be for Amazon at the bottom of the payment order 1-408-457-1770 called 3 times no answer then they called back it was a lady said yeah everything was fine gave us all info on the email but somthing still didn't feel right so I looked up the number and this is what a found so im reporting to my police and find a way to FBI they can't keep doing this we can't let anyone fall for this I also will be informing craigslist of this situation to hopefully keep this from happening again

My husband just got taken for 2800 dollars for the jeep is there anyone that can help us maybe that knows a lawyer we can contact we don't have much but we work hard for our money and have 4kids

Same story. I found a camper on craigslist that seller didn't answer phone but text me back later saying it was sold but had a friend who was selling 2008 jayco jay flight for $2500 and gave me an email address. The email address was Tabitha Gaines.

I sent the money as well for the jeep cherokee. The only thing they did was put the same amazon cards into my amazon account. It was the only way I could get my $1800 back.. Call the care center and talk to somebody from amazon payments.. If u sent the money not to long ago they may be able to help.. Sorry to hear that happend to u too. I have 3 kids as well and was heartbroken when I found out it was scam. I can't believe people would go thru so much trouble just to take money from hard workers and their family's.

I was very interested , glad to have my lady nit picking me. I called Amazon through my own account and they verified that they do not participate in third party selling. Especially this particular way.

Same thing and story of deceased spouse, deployment, amazon, blah blah. Of course so many red flags said scammer...what a pos! Anyway her email was Aurora Garvey.
