Pre-recording with Russian accented man asking to push one to receive your gift.

I received a call from this number (408 582 7186). Could you please tell me who this is and if its just a scam or telemarketing. Thank you

Got a call from this number April 1st on my cell phone. Did not reach the phone in time to answer it. Weird that it was from California area code and I am on the other coast in Canada.

I missed this call too. Thing is I am in Central Canada. In my opinion, do not answer it. I hear the laws aren't as strict in Canada for telephone business, making scams a lot easier to pull and not get charged for them.

I got this call today, on my cell phone provider is Telus.
I pressed one.  Got a live person and told her to put me on the do not call list as this was my business cell phone.  She said when she hangs up it will be done.  I got a recording stating "You have been placed on our Do No Call List"
I don't know about you guys, but I really think that Telus is selling numbers.  I have been getting massive amounts of calls from the USA on my cell, maybe they get around stating they don't sell, because it's Americans that are getting the info.  I have had about 10 different numbers call my cell, and it's NOT out there to get, not online never use it to sign up for anything, etc...

It not just telus I am with rogers and I got it to! Fortunate I was at work and missed the call!

I as well received a call (missed it, no v/m left) company phone, with Bell.

Just got called by this number by Sasktel.  I'm thinking auto-dialer.

saw the call and didn't answer as i was at checkout,  called back and just got fancy music no response

I recieved this call as well. Like you missed the call. No voice mail left. I'm with Kodoo aka Telus. I also recieve a lot of calls from 702-380-0000... no messages are ever left and when I do pick up no one is there. Does anyone no can we block thses calls or have our provider block them thaey are a hughe pain in the XXX

Call came in to cell, Rogers in Vancouver, BC at 6:08 pm. Did not pick up and no message left.  Called back and was immediately connected to 'new age' music, but no person contact.

Got a call from this number.  Russian guys voice saying push 1 to get prize  SPAM!!!

I just received a call from this number April 21, 2009. It was a computer generated voice message saying to press one because I'd been selected for their promotion. I am a SaskTel customer as well. This is obviously a scam - the message doesn't even identify the caller. Hopefully this can be blocked soon, so that the more gullible don't end up with unfair charges or whatever.

In canada. saw the call display. didn't answer. couldn't figure who was calling from that area code. Checked online for scam. Thank you for posting/reporting these and others.

Received this call today, said to press one for promotional gift, pressed 1, was on hold for about a minute, girl answered and asked if I wanted to hear more about my free gift to the Cancun I said no and she hung up right away.

missed a call from this number (im located in victoria bc), but after searching it on google and reading this, i guess i wont be calling it back.
