Indian guy name: Scodd Brown. Claims the company name is investment bank and has as debt call for one of our employees. Informed him that the number comes up as spam. Get a real job. I hung up the first time and he immediately call again.

Called asking for someone who does not work here. Kept spelling the name and repeating "are you sure there's no one there by that name?" I asked the guy if he understood English because clearly he didn't if he kept repeating the name and asking if I was sure. I finally told him to not call again and hung up.

I hate that I answered...I'm at work, so I figured it was work-related. Should have let it go to voicemail when I didn't recognize the number. He knew my name, I confirmed it, he said, "This is Shane..." and then disconnected the line. I tried calling back only to get a recording that the line was out of service. I stopped answering my phone at home and now I have to do it at work, too?! So sick of these scammers; it's out of control. HOW do they benefit from these bizarro phone calls or hanging up the second you answer? It's so awful. And the "Do Not Call" registry, which I have signed up for many times, doesn't work.

At work - received a call on our main line. After I spoke our standard office greeting, which includes saying my first name, the caller responded with my full name, asked as a question, as if to confirm he was speaking to the right person. I said yes, of course, and he said "How are you?"  And the line went dead. Grr. Have I been duped into saying "yes" like the scams we've heard about? Did I just agree to something? Frustrating! I shouldn't feel like I have to be overly cautious when answering an office line. We get enough junk calls as it is, but it's usually just sales, and easily gotten rid of. Now I wish I hadn't said "yes."

Same thing happened with me. Told him I was suspicious of the phone call and not to call back before hanging up. Called me right back just to call me a few creative names.

He called me and asked to speak to an unfamiliar name. I told him nobody works at this company with that name. He screamed "Oh my G-d" then hung up on me. The caller ID showed his company name as 1800GotJunk

At work, similar situation to the others. Asked for my name as if verifying he was talking to the right person and hung up after I verified. Call back was disconnected.

Scam just to get you to say "yes" and use it as permission to send more spam calls. Hang up immediately!

Guys, I just got a call from this number and they said they were from Goodwill. Goodwill. Now I'm laughing that that con artist.

This guy keeps call my office....He is so rude, he ask for people that don't work here and keeps calling back. he just called me a F*cken [***].  Nice:(

Just got the same call by same Indian guy. He asked for me by full name and even the name of my company. Strange. Then said he was looking for someone else with the same first name as mine but last name "Hammer". What??? I said no one by that ridiculous name works here! He asked same question several more times. I explained several times I don't that name and then he hangs up on me mid sentence. Wtf was that all about. Comes up San Jose Cal. Very confused now.

2 calls from same man. Wants someone who works here. Told him the number comes up spam and I can't connect. Claims he is from US post office.

Couldn't understand who the man with the heavy accent wanted.  I requested that he repeat the name, and he hung up.  Didn't even get to ask the purpose of the call -- not that he's on the up-and-up, anyway.

Continues calling. Was spoofing another number for a few days. Do not answer unknown calls on any phone. Each time I google and keep track of them they lead here. Before this number it was 540-989-8392 calling for days. Now this. All scams. All looking to get recordings.

Received many calls yesterday and today.  Clogs up the switchboard with multiple calls then puts call on hold with music.  Very rude people with Indian accents.  calling from these three numbers 4087279432, 7132665852,
and 2038540441.

just got call at work from a guy (11:30am) who asked for me by name (although mis-pronounced) I asked who it was; "United States Postal Service"  I was told, when I said I was the person I was trying to reach, he hung up on me.

I said "yes" also..... I had the same experience; "how Are you" and a hang up.
