Same as Mike, 3 times in the last hour...5 times total today...anyone know who this is????

Have gotten several calls from this number. I don't usually answer calls I don't recognize. I figure if it's important, they'll leave a message. No message ever left. Who is this?

I keep receiving calls from this number! It is extremely annoying! I answer the calls and no one responds. I finally called the number back and it provided me an opportunity to get on their do not call list by pressing the number 3. Thank heavens! Only time will tell if this actually works!

For the last few months, we have been getting crank hang-up calls and finally a threatening call from a number (408-796-3144) that only identifies itself on the caller ID as "California." Every time I have answered, I would get a hang-up, maybe once or twice a hostile "goodbye," or just a dial tone. Yesterday on 02/28/11, a harsh female voice snarled, "You will die." I do not care what the law says, that is a death threat and I am determined to track them down and name them if possible so I can put them in the hands of authorities.`

who ever is using this number has called me several times in the last few months. they have called twice today already and no one will say anything , I called back and a recorded voice gave me the option of being put on thier no calling list by pressing 3 , however i have done that in the pass and they still call

I get tons of them as well and have selected #3 for "do not call"  and they seem to be calling more.  I'm going to the "donotcall.gov" website in a minute.  You can report #s on that site. I'm also registered on that site for no telemarketing calls and am still getting them.   Don't know if it will do any good but I'm going to try.  There is also 866-259-0825 and 854-485-3981 that seem to be the same thing, funny thing is that area code 854 doesn't exist...but it's definitely on my caller ID.

I was getting tons of calls from 866-259-0825, for about 2 weeks, non stop all through the day. Now the calls are coming from 408-796-3144. I know these are based out of CA. Who are these people, they are really getting on my nerves?

I just got this call, too.  I called back; it's a Grant Company trying to get you to buy their Grant finding services.  I asked that they take my number off the list, they said okay.  3/30/11.

He is the one who is initiating these Jetbj DEAD CALLS which are collecting information from your home to use for future sales calls. Harrass him the way he has been harrassing you!!!!! THAT'S THE ONLY WAY I GOT HIM TO STOP!!!! GOOD LUCK! IF THIS HELPS ONE PERSON, IT WILL BE WORTH IT!!!!

For three weeks I've been getting many calls from 408-796-3144 and others that are spoof, none traceable numbers. I called the 408 number and their answering machine said they are closed and open 8am to 4pm. I called in the middle of the day! I think they're all calls are one in the same. It's a ten seconds of silence then a sarcastic woman's voice "good bye". The police have been tracing, but no way to identify spoof callers. They said they even tracked a previous spoof call to China! Verizon said blocking the number does no good. According to Verizon, an unlisted # may not even solve the problem. The feds are looking into it and have not had success. With  all the electronic "Big Brother" watching you government surveillance equipment I'm hard to convince. If I found the person or persons, trust me the problem would be solved the same day.

Yes I have been getting calls from this number and they don't say anything and hang up who is calling from 408-786-3144. I see I am not the only one who has a complaint about this. Thank you

They keep calling,I reported them,because my number is on do not call list registry.
