I have received phone calls from this company about once a day for the last 6 months to my cell phone with a pre-recorded message asking me to call another number. It is a marketing pitch for phone service to Viet Nam. I've asked them to stop and complained to the do not call registry with no result. They just call from another number the next day. If you are stuck on their call list, expect them to continue calling you.  I would change my number if I could but this is my business cell phone.  I am thinking of jamming their phone (especially their toll free number) so they will learn how it feel to get un-solicited phone calls they they have to pay for.  If you are also fed up and want to join me, their toll free number is 888-889-5370.  I would not call from your home, work, or cell phone though.  Just give them a few calls a day and just hang up.  If we can get enough people to call, just maybe they will stop their marketing practices.

PROPOSED SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM

THE PROBLEM:

In the last 6 months, I have been getting 1 or 2 calls a day from this company Viet Number to my cell phone with a prerecorded message to call their office for a free $75 phone card to call Viet Nam.  

THE CULPRIT:

ATTEMPTED SOLUTION:

1) Asked nicely.  They promised to take my name off their list each time.  But the next day they will call from a different number.

2) Be rude.  I tried this despite my nature, but it doesn't work.  Judging from this site they probably heard it all anyway.  You think you are doing something to them, I am sure they are laughing at you on the other side of the line.

3) Complain to the government:  FTC, FCC, Do not call list, BBB, AG.  I have done it all.  It doesn't work!  This is such a low priority issue for them.  I don't think they have the time or the desire to fix the problem.

4) Complain to the phone company.  Verizon did offer to block 20 caller ID numbers for $15 per month.  As you can see from the call list, these guys change their number daily.  I think these are probably not true numbers but "spoof" numbers anyway.  This would be just wasted money.

5) Block their number from my cell phone.  Doesn't work.  They change their number constantly.

6) Don't answer any calls and let it all go to voice mail.  This phone line is my business cell phone so that can be annoying for the people calling me.  But that is where I am at right now.  The bad part about this is I still get phone ring and voice mail notification which is annoying.

7) Subscribe to youmail.com.  This is a neat free service which record and keep track of all my voicemail.  All blocked number are not allowed to leave any messages.  This does reduce the voicemail notification.  But again, they can just change their number at will.  So I still have to deal with calls from the new numbers.

8) Change my number.  The cowardly way out, I know.  But that is what I am doing next.  This is not ideal as my business contacts are through my cell number.  I'll leave a message to call my new number for a while.  I'll drop the old number when most people are switched over. Eventually, however, they will get a hold of my new number.  They can just have to listen to my message to get my new number. So this is only a temporary fix.

PROPOSED SOLUTION:

Give them what they want.  Call them.  Call them often.  Concentrate on their toll free number.  Tie up their line.  Call them some more.  If you don't have time to call them, program your fax machine to call them.  Or better yet program your computer modem to call them.  If they have to pay for each call, or if they have to pay their telemarketing company each time you call, then they will know how we feel.  Never ever buy their product.  Even if its free.  Don't do it!  

If you like my solution, you can help my cause.  Here is this company toll free number:  888 889 5370.  Please give them a call.  Give them a few calls.  Then call them some more.  Just hang up when they answer.  If I can get enough people to do it, maybe I can finally get them to stop.

I'll post again when this company stops.  Then we'll move on to the next company.  Post the company and number you are having problem with and we'll work on them.  Let's take our privacy and our phones back.

I had phone call from these number 408-889-4330 and 713-366-8122
The languange that these women speaking was Cambodian. I understand and speak the language. The first number, she was trying to get me to consolidate my credit cards. the second number, she was was saling phone card. they are very annoying. I don't know how to block them from calling me.
