Message from foreign-sounding "David Johnson" from "Department of Legal Affairs" threatening me with lawsuits and other messes.  They knew my name in the recording.  I am surprised not to see existing entries for this number.  Blocking them with IP phone service.

Got a similar call threatening DOJ action. Four calls in two days; went so far as to threaten arrest in last one. Unfortunately for him, forgot to block caller ID on the last one! Have sent tip to FBI.

Caller from "Department of Legal Affairs".  Very suspicious.  Looks like a scam of some sort.

Obvious "hot box" phone call.  Threatening legal action if call not returned.  Doesn't sound remotely credible.

Same phone call today from this company with an Indian's accent.  I asked him where they are located - he said 55 South Market Street in San Jose.  I asked him what is his company website - He said www. IRS.gov.

This is a SCAM to have people go to the bank and ask to wire money to them.  DON'T DO IT.  IRS don't call people up.
One of my neighbor lost $4,000 due to this SCAM.    

Just got a call from them....said we should call Chris Walker at 408-940-9686 at US Treasury Deposit Dept of Legal Affairs. Her name was June Taylor. They would not give any info, case #. Said they sent certified letter we never responded to. My husband asked if they had his signature but she wouldn't give a straight answer. My husband said our attorney will call Chris; June was quick to end the call.

I called the number while my husband was on with June....totally sketchy.  Knew at that point it was most likely a scam.

Received a phone call from a man with a thick accent claiming to be "David Johnson" from the "Department of Legal Affairs" claiming that I failed to respond to a complaint of fraud against me.  He demanded that I give him personal information.  When I refused he became very obnoxious.  I then hung up and he called back multiple times.  He left a message stating that I have proven my guilt and so he is issuing an arrest warrant for me.  He left the return number of 408-940-9686.  IT'S CLEARLY A SCAM!

Just got the same call. What a waste of time.

My husband just got a similar call from a woman with an Indian accent who identified herself as "June Taylor"  who said she was from the "Department of Legal Affairs" and she was calling to inform him of important legal action against his name. She did know his name and our address. When he refused to give her any information and instead started asking her questions, she said he could contact "Officer" Chris Walker and then proceeded to give him the same phone number that she had just called from. When he called the number a man without an accent answered and said he was Chris Walker and asked for our phone number, when my husband refused, he hung up. When we called back, they hung up again, right away. When he called back from his cell phone he got a voice mail message saying "This is Chris Walker, please leave a message" but the voice on the voice mail did have an Indian accent.  Clearly a scam, will be reporting it.

Got a call notified the FBI .

Just got the same call from June Taylor at 408-940-9686 said that law enforcement would be taking action if I did not return her call and wire her $1,000 immediately. Obviously a scam, needless to say I did not return her call and blocked her number. Be careful out there!

Same old, same old, garden-variety Indian debt or law scam.  Ignore.  

I just received a call from 408-940-9686. They asked for my wife. Thick Indian accent. She said her name was June Taylor from the Dept. of Legal Affair. She got snippy with me so I got back at her in the same tone but tougher. I asked what Dept. of Legal Affairs, US or State and if a State which one. She got more snippy with me so I yelled at her to watch her tone with me. She yelled back "forget it then, I'll just throw your wife under the bus." I'm sure this is a common response from US Gov Dept. of Legal Affairs workers. When I stopped laughing I dialed *69 and got the number they were calling from. Unless they come to arrest my wife tonight or I literally find her "under a bus" this evening I will consider this a SCAM!

2 phone calls saying this is June Taylor from the Dept of Legal Affair threatning action will be taking, with law enforcement & officer Chris Walker badge number, if I do not call back, she has a India accent, she say's that she can be reach at (408)940-9686 Good thing it's all on the answer machine. Do not call them back, ignore them, let your answer machine do the talking, and if your annoyed, just blocked them. Do not be like the fish that took the bate.

Got 2 phone calls at my parents house saying that I needed to call back a David Johnson from the dept of legal affairs and pay them $2935.56 right now over the phone or I was going to be arrested in 2 hours. They kept using my maiden name and giving my old address. I just kept pushing them for more info and they finally hung up on me after 40minutes of arguing with them. I called law inforcement and they said that this is happening a lot. I see other people in Portland Or are getting the same calls.

Got the same call from "June Taylor".  Totally easy to peg as scam!

My husband got one of those calls last night luckily we let the machine answer it.   Now it is a David Jones with accent.    My husband loves to argue with strangers.   I have already told it's a scam.  So I will let him decide if he wants to yell at this guy if he calls back.

Received a voice mail from a woman named June Taylor, from the Department of Legal Affairs. While her tone was pleasant enough she said I needed to call back about an important legal matter. She had a strong accent, but I think she said I should call back while with my attorney. Everything about the message made me immediately think "scam!" Now that I see all these entries, I'm convinced it is. Beware!

THIRD DAY IN A ROW this SCAM artist tried to contact me!! Isn't there some law about people misrepresenting themselves as employees of the IRS?

Same thing, woman with Indian accent says she's from the "Department of Legal Affairs" and to call (408) 940-9686 blah, blah, blah. Googled it and it's a scam.
