This number belongs to a legitimate business.  They are the victim of phone number spoofing.  They have nothing to do with the scam.  Do not call them as they are already getting a lot of calls.

We received this call at 1:00 a.m.  It was the recording about our credit card being compromised and needed to push 1, which we did not.  Wow, that's bad when it's in the middle of the night, trying to scare people into falling for it.

Just got a recorded call from 408-942-9800 on my cell phone, purporting to be from the federal credit union, saying my ATM card was stolen and someone was using it.  Funny, I am not a member of the federal credit union!!  I hung up before the recording finished.

Got a call at 12:05 a.m. from this number....I did not answer it since I don't know anyone with this number and I am on the Federal Do Not Call Registry. Judging by all the other posts about this number...it's a good thing I didn't answer it!

I too hope they catch this loser.

I received a call from this # this morning, but didn't answer it.  I am happy I didn't. HOWEVER, my fiance' got a call on his cell phone from a different #, same scam.  He unfortuantely gave them the info, then the line went dead.  Knowing something wasn't right, he called his credit union, and they immediately cancelled his bank card.  I called my bank to make them aware, and ironically they received the automated call themselves for a credit union.  Don't ever give info like that to an automated phone call. If in doubt, call your bank or credit union.

    Beware
Yeah, I got the same call from the same phone number @ 3:30am in the morning on my cell phone none the less, luckily I was already on my way to work.  I mean does this idiot think that people would call us @ 3:30am in the morning to report a CC that i don't even have being stolen.  I am reporting them today to the BBB and hope they catch the guy.  FYI, to those who don't already know.  No back or CC will call you asking for you CC #, as they already know it, they will ask you your security questions and pw or pin if there is an issue with your card, but they will never call and ask for you CC # over the phone.  These idiots are probably from some middle eastern or 3rd world country, that it where alot of these scams are started from.  Again BEWARE, don't give out any personal info and heck don't even answer the phone.
