I got a text message claiming to be Bank of America and to call (409)373-0190.  They claim it is important, but I think that if:  1. I had a Bank of America account and 2. it was important, that BofA would call me and leave a message on my voicemail when I don't answer.

Fake?  Most likely.

I got the same thing.  I don't bank with BofA.  Total scam.

got one to...was busy at work and totally screw up.

gave my social before I realized and hung up.

Any suggestions on what to do next?

Received a text as well claiming to from B of A, text said "call immediately there is a security issue with your Bank of America credit card", call the number back and was asked to enter SSN, I hung up.

I got a bogus call from 409-373-0190 claiming to be Bank of America.  The B of A does not reach you in that manner.
Don't answer

My husband received the same call "Urgent, call immediately, there is an issue with your B of A account". We do bank with them however the number they called on is an alternate emergency number for family.  We have never given the number out to anyone. I immediately knew it was a scam.  I also found a posting from a year ago where this "number" called and said they were CHASE bank credit card services......total SCAM BEWARE!

i send wrong info. to this number, it said correct and thank you, stupid !
