- AnonymReceived call from this number, said they were calling on behalf of breast cancer society. Told them this was a business line and to quit calling. It sounded like it was generated from a computer because the voice of the person didn't sound real. Also, when I told them it was a business line the voice kept talking. It is a shame we can't do something to their line when they make these random calls. They are a damn nuisance to say the least.

- In Southeast TxAfter receiving a call on my cell phone and telling the representative that I was not interested, the representative would not stop talking or take no for an answer and I was forced to hang up on her. That was this morning. She then called my home phone, which is actually my parent's home phone; I inherited my parent's home when my dad shot and killed my mom, then killed himself several months ago. She asked for the man of the house. Thinking she meant my dad, I asked who was calling and she said she represented this organization and was calling back. I asked her to please stop calling; that my parents were deceased and she just got louder and spoke over me and said "this will only take a minute". I hung up on her again. She was the rudest person I've ever come across. I have shared this on my personal FB page to the close to 1000 people who will see it and give them all the bad PR I can. Their organization is extremely disrespectful.

- JeepThanks to those who posted. Of course I didn't answer so I came here to be sure it's a scam. My only difference from earlier posters is that the caller ID said "QVD". What the heck is that supposed to be?
- Caller: QVD Scammer
- nando replies to cleteousWhat a dimwitted comment. I was inundated with these calls when Bush was in office. Should I have blamed him?
- Huh? replies to cleteousNow someone's blaming nuisance phone calls on Obama? How much more stupid can people get?
- Socrates| 1 replyCaller ID displayed QVD; looked it up online to see if its a legitimate company. What I found was a site that suggested that artificial intelligence is being used to automate telemarketing operations, so...a conversation with a robot is not something I find entertaining, may as well ask Siri out on a date for the intellectual conversation. Lol
While I don't know the intentions of this company, I do know they are strangers, they are cold-calling me, and they have automated their tactics to access my finances/money for their purpose(s).
Even if this were a legitimate charity, who knows what percentage they take off the top for "administrative" costs (their salaries, etc.); I've seen some charities listed in the charity catalogues that come out yearly that take the majority of the donation for "their" cut. Charity many times, means giving money to people who ask for it...and, in-turn, they will give a little bit of it to the actual cause being donated to. It's another middle-man scam--if I want to give to an organization, I give it directly to them.- Caller: QVD, a.k.a. I Want Free Money, Inc.
