Telemarketer?

I just received a call on my cell phone with a recording telling me I could get a reduced rate on my credit card. When I press the number to speak with someone, someone answers and tells me I owe 3000.00 dollars on a card and he said correct. I said NO, I am 44 years old and have never had a credit card. He than hung up. Is this telemarketer, or should I be worried now?

Just called a minute ago...been getting calls from random numbers at around 10 AM EST every day now.

This company called me with a pre recorded message saying my credit card account is current and there are no problems but they can lower my interest rate. I pressed 1 only because I do not OWN  a credit card and the call concerned me. The guy that answered basically slurred with an accent a bunch of stuff that didn't make any sense. So I said, well i don't have a credit so what is this about? and he hung up the phone. pisses me off.

Just had a call from this number. Same story, recorded message saying that I could lower my interest rate, and a heavily-accented, drunk-sounding man came on when I pressed 1 (out of concern and wanting more information to report to the authorities). I don't have a credit card.

Scam! Clearly they want your credit card info. They do not even state a credit card company name.

Got the call hour ago didn't know it so I didn't answer

This number called and didn't leave a message. I've tried to call it back, and the line is busy.

Received a call from 410-335-6292 "concerning my credit card". I pushed 1 for an agent that I might ask them not to continue to call me. I could not understand the agent with the background noise. She called again from a different line...360-633-9017. When she said she represented different cards I asked if she was from my bank. She named several banks. I said those are not my bank. She hung up.

Couldn't she just give me the option for no calls?

Yeah this is a scam. I dont have a credit card, and the instant I said that they hung up. They just want your credit info, whatever you do DO NOT give it to them.

Same as the others.  Could not understand the man, tried calling back, line was busy.  Not going to answer if they call back.

410-335-6292 is FRAUD.
A complete credit card scam.  If you call the number it will ring busy, yet they found a way to post that number as the incoming caller ID.    

Another telemarketer wanting to "lower the interest rate on your credit card"

These jerks have called twice today from two different numbers. The first one came up as 000-000-0000, and then a few hours later from 410-335-6292. Both calls played the same prerecorded message, word for word with the same female voice. This is obviously a scam to get your credit card information or any other personal information someone is stupid enough to provide during these calls.

I do not want to be bothered with scammed calls. I do NOT need lower interest. I pay NO INTEREST.
