Called my listed and then my unlisted numbers about an hour apart.  The listed number stated a Caller ID of Ellicott City, Maryland., no name given.  Googling the number says it belongs to a person who lives on Hillsborough Rd in Ellicott, Maryland.  Either this person is being spoofed or she's working a list as per one of those "Make $1000 a day!" scams.  I'm not supplying her name here since I'm unsure of whether she's a victim or a victimizer.

Just received a call from Ellicott City, Maryland (I'm from Maryland) at 8:30 PM and they did not leave a message.

No message left. Another number to block.

Got the same call, no message. But yesterday, as I was working, I got a call that came up on the ID as me. 5 minutes later, I got another call from "Purple Heart" MD ( figure that one) . My guess is another round of scams.

I to just received a call from this number. The abrasive individual stated that he was with the State FOP Lodge.  He went on by stating that the call was being recorded and was that OK. This is the second call from this individual and number in as many months. My response was the same as the prior call. I did not give him permission to record me and told him to remove my number from his list.  He was still talking when I terminated the call.

it's 6pm and I received the 7th scam call of the day.  Spend my day running for the phone only to find it's scum calling

SSDD as the rest of y'all (Rec'd call, showed "Ellicott City 410-505-3205" and caller hung up on my machine).  I called him back AFTER reading your posts.  He first just answered "Hello" (not so professional like any REAL charity would do), to which I (somewhat aggressively pushed him back into his mock-professional tone by stating, "Hi, YOU called ME, Can I help you?"  He immediately put on the fake Drill Sergeant voice, stating, "This is Steven so-and-so (forgot last name, not that it's real anyway) from "Maryland Fraternal Order of Police this line is being is recorded"  (Ha Ha Ha!) I didn't let him say another word before saying, "Well, that doesn't matter because I'm on disability and can't help you anyway so you may as well remove my # which I presume is showing up on a caller iD".  He said he would remove my #, and I could tell he couldn't wait to get away from me .   {I'm listing as prank call because Md FOP site states they will never call anyone...]

Caller ID only listed "Ellicott City MD" as this spoofer and it's a pattern used by some rip-off organization that has immunity from our worthless government controls. Right, Do Not Call. Cut funding for that BS, we're all blocking this crap on our own dime.

Same thing.  Said it was FOP and was being recorded.  I said I wasn't interested and to take me off their list.  They keep calling and calling.  Ugh!!!!!!!

Got a call from this number about 8:35pm and they stated they were from the MD FOP and that the call was being recorded.   I said I wasn't interested and to take me off their calling list.  They said they would but you know what they keep calling and calling.  Will have to block number on my end.

They call daily! Enough already

I just sent an email to FOP Lodge 69 to see if this is real or a scam.  I believe it is a scam,  I have been getting calls from this drill sgt voice many, many times.  Always tell him to take me off his list - he is hard of hearing......

Received a call today, Sept.12th 2015 at 5:53 PM and CID displayed "Ellicot Cit MD 410-505-3205" and of course, noVM was left. Not the first time this particular number has appeared on my CID and most likely won't be the last either. Since no VM was left, the call wasn't important to begin with. Even if a VM is left, is no gaurentee on my part, that I will call the number back either.

The man called yesterday and said that he was from the police department wanting to know if I wanted to donate to the chows charity I told him I wasn't interested and we hung up the phone

When I get calls from my home state area code, which I don't recognize, I immediately suspect an FOP scam or an annoying political call.  I never answer, but it doesn't dissuade them.  Something should be done by the authorities and I wonder, with so many complaints and ever-increasing number of these calls, why they don't respond.  Someone is being compensated, mightily, for this, is all I can figure.  My call came 9/11/15 (go figure), at 12:56PM, EDT, with a CID of Ellicott Cit MD.  I didn't answer and no voicemail was left.

Same; caller id "ellicott city, md" .  I answered phone, no one there.  Will have # blocked.

Caller ID says Ellicott City MD called but they didn't leave a message.

I don't want FOP! I am a Dapper Dan man!!!!  Blocked them cold.

Seems Legit

Calls from this number as well as 3208 (and probably similar numbers) are from an agency soliciting money for the Fraternal Order of Police. I gave them $20 like 15 years ago and they constantly hound me.
