It's some guy calling, and yelling "you left a not on my car!  Man, why did you hit my car? What's your insurance information?"   Actually it's kind of comical. I started laughing.  I think they want you to get upset and start yelling at them or worse get defensive and give them personal information!  DO NOT EVER DO THAT!    So I just ask him to "back up a second, stop yelling, now where did you say this happened?"  Dumbass starts going off again yelling about his car.  I said "well if I left a note on your car what's my name?"  No answer.......I also got this same guy calling me on my cell this past Sunday night (4/1/12) spoofing behind my work number.  Same exact conversation, just kept yelling about his car, you left a note, bla bla bla.   Spoofers commonly use disconected numbers obviously so you can't call them back.  But this guy is laughable, not very sophisicticated and has a very limited vocabulary.

I got the same exact call yesterday that  Elaine did. The name that came up on the caller I'd was John D and B Hyde.  It was comical and the guy kept calling me a b......So I handed it to my husband and e guy tried to argue with him, then gave up and hung up.  I didn't give him the information he wanted.

It's a prank website. People can put in your number to be called and even chose the outgoing number. There's lots of different "themes" too.

Didn't bother to answer, didn't leave a message.

Saw five -- count 'em, FIVE -- calls on my call log between 10:32 and 10:33 a.m. today.

Two said "MARYLAND," but the others just had the number.

Hi Helen -- Just saw another six call on my call log today. I called the number back from my work phone. Got a "number is no longer in service" recording.

Did not answer and they didn't leave a vm

They called about 4 times and didn't say anything. When i called the number back i also got a "the number you dialed is no longer in service".

I just got a call too! CID says Maryland. Female voice recognition/response robot, wants to "upgrade my dusty old meter" and asked a few canned questions to start the shipping process. I didn't give any info.

Been getting 2-3 calls from this number on my prepaid cell phone every day for 3 days. I finally answered and it was some lady named Mary who was asking me "didn't I want do get ride of my old dusty glucometer and get a new one and that they would take care of the insurance for me." I told her no thanks and that I just got a new meter and to stop calling me. I hung up and called the number back but it was a recording saying that the number had been disconnected.

I just got the same call, I didn't answer it and they called 4 times one right after the other. How do they get our numbers? I don't get this.

typical ripoff company.  This is mary with diabetic support center.  Your insurance company told us to give you a new meter.  Well I know my insurance company, I know the protocol. You call them they email the company who send it right too you.  So this is a rip off.  I tried to explain that to them, and then I realized I was dealing with a computer.  Look folks they rip you off, your insurance company, and medicare.  It is called fraud.

I've gotten to the point that I don't answer calls from out of my area code.  Figure they can leave a message and I can see later if it was important or not.  Most of the times it these same type of calls where they are trying to get money from you trying to Blackmail you into paying.  They will keeping calling for weeks or months at a time, so now I add them to my address book and marked them by a single letter of the alphabet.  Theirs is now the letter K, that tells you how many calls I have gotten from these type of idiots.  I didn't "fall of the turnip truck yesterday" as they say, I'm smarter then they are.  If you don't know the number calling you then don't answer it, let them leave a message.
