Caller ID = Glen Burnie, MD. I don't know anybody who lives there. Didn't answer the call.

No one there.  Added to Call Blocker!

Received call, since I was right next to the telephone I pick it up immediately, but here was nobody on the other end.

I asked several times Hello?  but no reply.  Very Strange!

I was having a migraine and answered the phone so it would stop ringing (too loud). Lady said she was from Pepco and was calling about our bill. Sounded like a scam and I hung up. Call ID said Glen Burnie, MD

Call from "Pepco", I soon as I asked which account she was referring to, she hung  up.

Caller claimed to be with PEPCO offering me a 40% reduction in power cost; he indicated he was confused relative to my account number and wanted the number on my bill. I asked to call back and was given an 800  number which turned out to be the "Uterine Cancer Hot Line".

A real PEPCO representative would not be confused about your account number, it would be right in front of them on their computer screen when they called. Just another failed attempt at tricking you into changing electricity suppliers under false pretenses.

Someone answered.  Gave them my normal opening.  "I am on the do not call list.  If you do not respect that, why would I do business with you?" Most of the time they don't know what to say and hang up.

just got a call from this number. It was a lady who said due to deregulation of Pepco my electric costs will be reduced from 14 cents to 9 cents for the next year. She then asked, "Is this okay?" When I probed why Pepco would be lowering my rates she transferred me to her "supervisor". He said again that the cost would be lowered to 9 cents and my services provided by Pamco. When I probed more he said to check my bill and that I would save money. Asked why Pepco was calling to reduce my rates, what would this change. He said I would be given a new electric supplier - Pamco with a lower rate. I told him I did not want my services changed and was not interested.

Unfortunately, I was expecting a call from the Glen Burnie area or I would have check to see who was calling before answering. Definitely a call to not answer and if anyone has an elderly relative check on them. I could have had my services switched/accounts put at risk with only a yes to the first question! Who know what issues that would have created!

Received call in ILLINOIS from this number....the call has a Maryland area code.  Obviously as scam.  Don't even answer this number unless you want to be scammed,
