STATE OF MARYLAND NON WORKING #

This one keeps calling and hanging up on us.  410-767-3000

It's the MD State Comptroller's office, you just can't call them back on that number.

this number called and played a music-box version of a very familiar piece by bach.

I received 2 calls within 7 minutes.  When I returned the call, an automated message said, "This is the state of Maryland.  This is a nonworking number." and hung up on me.  I have no idea what this pertains to.

I returned the call at 410 649 0633.  The employees there are about as pleasant as a splinter in your eyelid.

Rec'd call on cellphone at 1:56pm this is second time.  I did not respond and no msg was left.

It is someone from Baltimore City gov't calling you. It is a general number that is used when an employee calls out. Unless they leave a message with an extension you can't call them back.

I get several calls a week from this number, but no one is there when I answer. Why do they keep calling me if they don't want to talk to me? This is the definition of a prank call!

I had received these calls for about a month, on and off. Finally I caught the call and was able to speak to someone from the Maryland Comptrollers office. It was about past due filings for Employee Withholding and Sales and Use Taxes from an old corporation. The lady was nice enough to close those old accounts for me.

I have to agree 100 %     The employees there are about as pleasant as a splinter in your eyelid.  It must be very painful to hate your job that much. They would never make it in the private sector, because they would definitely get fired, and rightfully so.

I just received a call from this number as well.  It was strange - I called it back and it gave the same message you received.  Wonder who is making calls from it?

This phone number had been calling me all day, with no one on the other end.  A busy signal starts once I say hello

410-767-3000 called shortly after 6 AM in the morning waking us up. No one was on the other end of the line when we answered the phone. They called again at 7:00 AM. We live on the West Coast. We've never lived in Maryland and have not done business there so I don't know why they'd call us.

Same number. Left vm indicating call was from Maryland State Unemployment Office regarding  telephone interview.

And btw - the lady that picked up was very helpfull and took care of it for me.

The auto-dialer system they are using is a mess.

It's the maryland comptrollers office, regarding sales tax for your business. If you don't file a quarterly sales tax report they will call to see if you have collected any sales tax
