I got several calls in a day from this number, asking for a jacob. I dont know any one by that name.

Receive many calls weekly from 410-774-8401 asking for Anthony. They say "is Anthony there" or "may I speak to Anthony". WE keep telling  them
there is no Anthony here and at first we were nice & told them they had a wrong number. Now we scold them.  WE also get calls from 410-774-8010, also asking same.  How do we stop this harassment?

I have gotten 2 calls this am, and one call yesterday.  I am curious to know who this is also.

Scammers are calling to verify your number is a working #. Not onlky do they try and get your personal information but they can also use your telephone number and routs it to their phone systems, meaning they can use and place your number as the caller while they harass other people.
Alot of companies will use your number as call out so they can continue having a job, as long as they keep people on their list their position will remain.
Never give out your Name, Address, ID#, SS#.
If it were the police then they would have access to that information already.
You can tell them they are welcome to send out an officer to obtain any information they need.
If a scammer is routing numbers, its most likely are out of country, which theres nothing that can be done, or they are can not be tracked.
A legit business, they no the laws and usually do not go past the point of breaking it. They may find loop holes, but they know better, it is most likely a scammer using your # for their benifit.
Never give information and never give in to harassment.

called me two times today.. no message left. I do not anwser

Just got a call from this number, it says CI Institute, what is that? The area code is from the Maryland area.

I called the number back. The  girl that answered was in Utah. She said they make follow-up calls to people  that inqure about the college. I told her the number was a Maryland number and to Google it and see what is said about the calls. If I would give her my #, she would be glad to put it on the NO call list. YEAH RIGHT ! I will check out the web and see if there is a no call list for cell phones and add it myself...

I've started receiving calls from this phone number yesterday.  No one answers, no one leaves a message.  So not sure what's up, but one less phone call to answer

I just got this call 2 mins ago and I called back, I was disconnected after the 6th ring! I don't know who will make this kind of call! I hope its one time thing.

I have call Wave on my internet...i use that to sreen calls! Have recived a call 3 times from this number no messege left

Whoever this is calls me 3 times a day- early in the morning (like 8 when Im in class), in the afternoon, and at night. They never leave a message, and this is pissing me the [***] off!

This guy called me up and said his name was Brant..and about the internet sign up thing and about a college classes..then he just hung up. I'm getting tired of it! I got two calls yesterday about college classes again. Is there no way to stop it?!

either i get calls from this number 4107748401 or 8664857005, i already registered my # in donotcall.gov hoping it'll work to stop this harrasment. It is illogical that no law can do anything about this!!!!

Got a call from this number, answered the first two times. It was an automated person asking "Is Amie there?" I signed up on babytobee.com and they asked me all kinds of questions about did i want this person to call me about this offer, this person to call me about this offer....I told her no and after 10 minutes of answering their questions I just hung up.

thank you for that advice on the website.. this 410-774-8401 # has called me twice in the past 1/2 hour.. i didnt answer and they didnt leave a message.  does anyone w=know how they could get your number? i dont know much about identity theft.. dont know why anyone would want to try to stel mine either... but i would like to make sure i am safe i never give out my social but it kind of scares me that people can tap into your temp internet files and get your account information online... its scary because i dont know how they do that... does anyone here have some insight on what to do when we get these calls? if it goes to a VM then they know it is a working #.  havent tried calling back yet
