Continualy get calls from 410-825-4343, getting a recorded message to contact them regarding a court case, a trail is coming up and they want to deliver legal papers to residence.  They don't have anything like this going on, when they return call it again is a recording requesting they leave a message with name & #.  Suspect a scam.  Francis

from 12-16-2009 to now 12-18-2009 rec'd calls saying they are delivering court papers to my residence. WTF? I have no pending trial cases coming so maybe it is for 1 of my children?  If so, they could have a litle more finesse referencing how they go about it.  i dont have a problem responding for my children or even accepting papers for them, however, I do have a problem with harassment on my phon, and I will pursue charges after I email them and let them know how I feel about their unprofessionalism.

410-825-4343 continues to phone me in reference to delivering court papers to my home.  what the freak, man?  this is harassment all the way.  i responded and left a message and noone returned my call, in case it was for 1 of my children i would have accepted it.  However at this point, i dont want to accept anything from their rude, unorganized, uncooth, character.  They could have had a decency and mailed me a letter.

Got a call form 4102461095. It is a automated message from some freaking company about a law suit. Asked to call back on 4108254343. Both of the numbers are answered by automated messages. I think they are collecting phone numbers. its a SCAM. Beware...

We've been getting 2-3 calls a day from these people for about a month now.  Is there anyway we can stop them from calling?

calls started Jan 21st from an Unknown or Restricted number.  Since I never answer such calls, all went to voicemail.  It should be noted that I received two calls a day, EVERY day from Jan 21st to Feb. 1st when I finally called the number left on my voicemail - which was an automated message every day twice a day (until Jan 30th when I got a LIVE message) stating that LPI was attempting to deliver court papers to an old address of mine.  I called the number left, (expecting- ha ha) a live body, and left a voicemail in return giving them my correct address and a time that they could deliver me the papers mentioned.  THIS WAS A GUARANTEED TIME of about four Hours.  I waited for a phone call, or for the mysterious delivery for FIVE hours.  I have decided this is a scam of some sort, and since then have received neither calls nor papers to date.

I received same call, and I searched on line. From 411.com I have found the following information on the number:
(410) 825-4343, Type: Land Line, Provider: Verizon, Location: Towson, MD

It is a fraud call, hope police can do something about those things

I've been getting the call too, and stupidly tried calling back.  Same recorded message everyone else has reported.

Ok, I got this figured out. I did a *57 to get a trace, and got a message that the service is not available but did get a phone number to call: 877 872-2348. I called and reported the harassing phone calls. Then they hooked me up with the FTC and I filed a complaint. The FTC told me that this is in all probability a phishing scam, where they are trying to get whatever personal information they can. The advice, of course, is not to give them ANYTHING, not even your name. The FTC rep also recommended that I look at a recent credit report to make sure nothing is going on there.

Since Feb 18th, I have received 10 calls in 4 days at varying times. All recorded man's voice. I returned the first and then realized this is probably a scam when I got a recorded message at 10 in the morning on a Friday. Most legitimate business are open at this time.

I  turned this over to my lawyer. Wish I had read the above messages before replying to the young lady's recorded request for information. Too bad there is no one to help on issues like this.

I have received five different messages from this number, that they have papers to deliver to me and need my home address,.  Unfortunately, I did call back an left my name, but no address.  Whom can we report this obvious scam to?

Calling me looking for someone else that does not live here

I've recieved (4) calls in (2) days exactly as described in the previous posts. The most alarming was probably the one that came at precisely 7am Sunday morning. I too called back and got the recorded message but only left my number for them to call me back which has yet to happen (except for the recorded message call).
I guess it would help if I understood the motive or what they could possibly gain from this.

When I went to exit my back door this evening the outside door had a sticker across it that broke to draw my attention to it. It stated that an attempt had been made to deliver court docs to me. It had my name, and address on the sticker with the 410-825-4343 number. The sticker looked unofficial, and stated that they would be back tomorrow at 10:30am. I called the number, and it stated that it wasThe Defender's Hotline for LTI court delivery services. I was obviously freaking out! My wife will be at home tomorrow while I'm working. Curious now to see if anyone shows up! I called back, and gave my name, address (which they already had) along with my cell number to see what this was about. Now wish I had found this before giving my number out!

If it's really a court case (which I sincerely doubt), my understand of the due process of being served court papers isn't done like this.  SCAM SCAM

I received a call today from someone identifying themselves as Jeff Johnson from 410-825-4343.  Mentioned court papers to be delivered.  No idea who, what or why.  I called back and received automated message.
