a man with foreign accent, middle east or something, called and ask if I have a mortgage. I ask his name and he wouldn't say just keep asking if I had a mortgage and he knew my address, too. I ask for name of his company and he repeats himself like a robot. I ask to speak to someone who speaks English and he repeat himself again.  The caller ID says his name is Daniel Bitzel.  he finally hung up. I am on the Do Not Call Registry. I would like to find this iliicit mortgage company and report to the license board in my state for violating the law on the DNC.

I got the same call.  Daniel Blitzel.  No one there.  Too random.  I will report this number, I too am on the no call registry.

Someone from this phone number calls constantly but then there is no one on the line.  It is very annoying and disruptive.

This number keeps calling with Daniel Bitzel listed as caller. It's a stolen identity. No message left DONT PICK UP!  I am on Do not call list so of course reporting this.

I was under the impression that when you sighed  up for do not call they were suppose to block calls like this. somebody not enforce it not doing there job

Your impression is incorrect.

This post has two parts.  The =second= is for people who are interested in the realities of the Do Not Call list.  The =first= is for people who have difficulty understanding long explanations, but think the DNC list does not work.

1)
The DNC list is not a magic switch attached to your phone line, that will block calls.

The DNC list is intended to help stop calls originating from legitimate telemarketers.
* Your calls were not from legitimate telemarketers.
* Therefore, the DNC list will not stop those calls.

2)
The DNC list does not automatically block calls.  Instead, it provides a list of  "do not call" phone numbers to legitimate, registered telemarketers who pay a fee for the list.

The DNC list exempts political callers, survey organizations,  charities, and companies with preexisting business relationships, as well as debt collectors, but these organizations might have their own, internal Do Not Call list (ask them).

The DNC list is not effective against criminals, spammers and scammers, because those people do not subscribe to the DNC list, and do not care if you are on or off that list.
Its purpose is to stop calls from legitimate telemarketers, and it does a pretty good job at that.  Just think ... if there were no DNC, you would be receiving incessant calls from BOTH legitimate and scam telemarketing callers!

If you receive calls even after reporting them (and waiting a sufficient time), then you should consider using a call blocker app, device or service as your first line of defense.  Google "call blocker" to see such things at Amazon or other sites.

Got the call from a man with Heavy accent.   Asked for my husband and said he was calling about his electric bill.   He then asked if I would be able to take the call.  I hung up.

Every Day I am getting call from 410-929-7381 whose name says in the ID  as Daniel Blitzel. No one answers. When I call back the number it says the person you are calling is unavailable. This is been going on more than a week now.

Just got the same Daniel Bitzel  410 929 7381 call but no one on phone when I answered. It may have recorded or something for a while then a recorded "good BY". We Live in Wash DC. Got call Sept. 9, 2014 a little after 4 pm.

Received two calls from Daniel Bitzel 401-929-7381.  Did not answer the first one because I did not recognize the name nor the number.  No message was left.  I did answer the second call and was asked by a man with a foreign sounding voice if I knew a certain person.  Although I did know the person, I was very suspicious because I've had these types of calls before.  I told him there was no one here by that name (which was true - the person is not in my household.  I don't know how these people do it but they seem to be able to tap into legitimate phones numbers.

I had a call last week very similar - not legit - using a name and number from my own home town to perpetuate a scam.  My husband called this person who lived in our neighborhood to let her know her number was being illegally used.

After about a 6 week respite with no complaints posted here, it looks like "Daniel Bitzel" is at it again! I was  one of the the lucky ones today. Same old same old: phone rings 4 times, no message left. I will now report this to the DNC registry, just to keep those bureaucrats in Washington busy. LOL.

Got the call at 6:14 pm.  I said hello 2x. No one ans.
