- Sandy| 5 repliesGot a call from this number and no message was left. Came up on Caller ID as follows:
Pittsburg
412-888-1000 - kit was my nurse from baby blueprints
- JOne of my customers received a call from this number and said that they were asking about our services/ rating our services. They said that they were calling on behalf of my company for feedback... None of this makes sense but now I have a customer that probably thinks we are giving out customer information to a third party.. Which we are absolutely not doing.
I called the number back and it says it is not in service.. I will be looking into it more for sure. - Sick 'n TiredReceived a call from this number today. Caller ID showed 412-888-1000 and Pittsburg. We do not answer phone numbers that we do not recognize, and no message was left. But, the fact that "Pittsburgh" was misspelled makes me think that it was a scam call.
- Suddenlyme2 replies to Sandy| 1 replyCall was from Highmark Benefits Department.
- SnoopyHow did this number know I was just in the hospital?
- Steeler girl| 6 repliesWe got this call and the person on the phone, Jason, said he was from Highmark, would not say why he was calling. He said he could not say why he was calling until we gave him personal info including our address birthdate social security number. Asked if we could call him back to verify who he was -Highmark- and he said no. Not possible. We don't give that info out to people who call us, only when we call them and know who we are calling, who knows who the heck he is. If this was Highmark doing a survey as stated in above post it's a crappy way to do business. They should have all our info already, especially if they call our house.
- Caller: Highmark
- Tom N replies to Suddenlyme2Got a call today from Highmark BCBS customer service also. Was in reply to my inquiry.
- Shanna replies to Steeler girl| 3 repliesActually Highmark makes you confirm that information when they call you to make sure they disclose protected health information to only you and not someone else. It's for your privacy.
- Voltmaster replies to Shanna| 1 replyJust called me a little while ago. found this post saying it was from Highmark. I called Highmark to confirm this phone call. And guess what, They told me they do not call people, They will mail a letter to call them with a confirmation number. Tread lightly!!!
- DebbieReceived a phone call from 412-888-1000 Pittsburg (not spelled correctly on caller ID) Was only 1 ring.
- Caller: Pittsburg
- KMH| 2 repliesGot a call from them this morning, did not get a chance to answer as it only rang twice. Why would Highmark be calling us when no one in this house has Highmark insurance... they would have had no right to confirm any of our personal info. Our number is on the do-not-call list, as well.
- Caller: Pittsburg
- Dave Arnold1 ring, no one there. I'm blocking it.
- johnny OI hit ignore on my cell phone the 1st time but it keep calling back. Like 5 times in a row!! I keep hiting ignore. Called my phone 6 time in 2minutes! [***]!! Smh

- Caller: Highmark?
- RonJust got a call from this number. Left message and nurse from "my health plan". Left a call back number. Didn't call back yet
- Caller: My health plan
- Linda"Judy" left a message with call-back information. It seems legit - she knew my name, identified herself as a "health care coach", her voice sounded harmless (like a favorite aunt), claimed to be calling about satisfaction and/or concerns about my coverage. I'm not going to return the call however.
- Caller: High Mark BC BS
- BobThese 'healthcare' calls could be from brokers trying to sell you coverage. There are a numbers of legit insurers selling ACA policies and these third parties are trying to lure you into buying through them so they get commission. Deal direct with insurers via the ACA website or directly through local or national companies. Third party websites are a crapshoot. Dont risk it. And if someone asks you for SSN on a call from you "health plan" etc..... that is phishing. Hang up on them. If you need to talk to your insurance company, use the toll free number on the back of your ID card.
Anyone saying they are from your insurance carrier will ask you to validate information which they have on their screen already. Do not give your full SSN. Give them your member number from your card. If you ask for a callback number and they decline...hang up. They are not your insurance company. - SAlso got a message and then today.
They state they are following up on how their service was.
And Pittsburgh had always been spelled with an "h" at the end. - Jonestowngot an unsolicited call from 412-888-1000.
