Got a text message at 4am from this number stating I won $1000 from Best Buy. Is this for real?

This is a scam. Loads of people are getting it. I got one too.

Attention, Washington Best Buy shopper, your entry has won! Go to http://bestbuyrwdz.com/1/?1 and enter code XXXX to claim your $1000 gift card now!

No sir I will do no such thing.  Must be a scam...

Just got the same message from this number... I didn't enter any best-buy contest, so obviously it's a scam. Not to mention the link isn't to bestbuy.com.... that's a dead giveaway that its not real.

Feel soo bad for anyone who replies to this. Hopefully these scammers can't get too much info from your phone!

You can forward these spam text mgs to SPAM (7726) where hopefully your carrier will take action to block/filter or file a complaint with the FTC.

Sprint participates in the 7726 program, a joint mobile effort between AT&T, Verizon, and T-mobile to help eliminate spam by sharing spamming predators among the carriers, which in turn helps build Sprint’s Block List to help stop potential spammers.  If you receive an unsolicited message please forward it to the Spam Reporting Service as noted below.

Forward the message to 7726 (which spells “SPAM” on most phone keypads).  Please don’t edit the message or add any comments.
You’ll receive a reply with instructions about where to send the phone number that sent you the spam/phishing message.

Got a text message at 11pm from this number stating I won $1000 from Best Buy. Not real it's a scam!!!!

I just received and it's my second time. how can i stop it?

This is a number you dial from http://www.wheresmycellphone.com/ in order to locate your cell. You can stop it by NOT dialing your cell when you've lost it.

When you get these types of messages just reply that there is a $200 charge per message received at this number and that their account balance is now $200. Never gotten a single repeat text.

Texted me to click on link for BestBuy card or something like that. I texted back "STOP" and did not receive any more texts from this number.
