keeps calling-  no response when you pick up.

Caller won't talk. A TV can be heard in the background.

Called here in Austin, I answered "Who is this?" ... they hung up without speaking. Called again, I ignored the call.

This isn't a Michigan area code, so I let it go to voicemail. The caller quickly redialed. That time I answered. Background noise sounded like a call center, a male voice said something quickly in a foreign language, then promptly hung up.

I recieved a call and a man acctually answered after leaving me on hold. They called me, why am I on hold? Anyway.. I just made it clear I didn't accept solisaration calls over the phone and then I promply recieved 3 back to back calls from another number and had to finally get hostile with this woman to make her understand I meant don't call me back! This is why half of American live on the edge of a break down. When will the Goverment do something to stop them from harrising buisness and scamming the elderly cause that's all they do ?

Carina Cadillac (not even joking) who made a point of saying her name twice before I hung up on her was trying to sell me "television service for my business"

Someone called the office, claiming he was from DirectTV
He asked for the owner, and when prompted for a name, simply repeated himself louder.

When I told him I couldn't transfer him without a name, the then tried to confirm the address.
I won't confirm any information over the phone, told him this, and again offered him an e-mail where he could send any information.
He refused, and hung up.

I'm always extremely cautious of people who call, phish for a person, then phis for an address confirmation.

Claimed there was static on the line and would call back. Called again and said that they were from Direct TV and was asking for the owner (me). "We understand you have 2 TVs at your business".. I said "No, we don't have any TVs at our business" then there was a long pause and I hung up. Caller ID says "Shelburne Fa MA" Scammer as they can't even put together a decent schtick

Don't call back

Just got off the phone with these jokers. Same fake schtick that OwnerOSI got: claimed there was static on the line, asked to call back. Person who called back was not the same person as the one from the previous call. Tells me my business is pre-approved for a TV service. I told him we weren't interested, hung up, and blocked the call. The number shows up as 413-489-1602 from MA.
The first call is to ascertain that they've got a legit number and that someone will answer. Then the real call center calls back.

UNBELIEVABLE!! As soon as I picked up a man started saying something about static, hold on, there's static – his voice was extremely clear, but he kept saying it and said let me try again, I’ll call you right back. I immediately Googled the number and found what everyone is saying here. I didn’t answer the second call and immediately blocked. What a bunch of pathetic, desperate LOSERS. (One hint: I don't do business with any company that won't be up front enough to show their name on my Caller ID.)

If you have recently opened a business or applied for a state Tax number - this is happening because your state published your private information. Because new businesses are a matter of public record, these companies scan the rolls for new taxpayers trolling for new businesses to harass. Call your state comptroller and lodge a complaint. Your private telephone number should not be a matter of public record.

Same thing as above called back to back - didn't answer as I know no one in MA.

I sure did just get my tax number. Glad I found out where it was coming from.

exactly what is happening to me today - alarm companies, direct tv and others - and my number is on the do not call list for past 10 years

Calling over and over. We don't answer. They leave no message.  We did just get a tax ID number. Blocking this idiot.

So frustrating that when I applied for a sales tax Id I started getting all kinds of calls from scammers
