Dara,
can you tell me what this gentleman is calling about?

I rec'd a web inquiry from someone named Godfred Cole which appears to be an attempted credit card scam. It uses this phone number, and gives an address of 233 Carry Ave in Greenbay, WI which does not exist.   He is attempting to buy product with a credit card, but is not specific on what he needs.  He fails to respond to phone calls or requests for details.

Hello David,
I need to know the price for 1,000 labels per carton of blank sheet labels 33Lbs including taxes but dont add freight to it for me just want to know the price for the sheet label,i am currently in located in the below address but this product will be shipped to my wife in brazil

Total scam, run screaming.

THEY sent a inquiry on our website to purchase parts with a credit card.  REG FLAGS .  and the style of the "gmail" e-mail address has a common format for these thieves.  I always ask for a company name and a physical address on these, and then never hear back.  Because they know by then that we are on to them.  These scammers are the scum of the earth.

We received a call from Godfred Cole requesting 4000lf of metal roofing that was to be flown to his wife Gail Cole in Brazil.  He would never give a call back number just said he would call back in a few minutes.  We were given a number to call for a freight quote Larry Johnson @ Grand Shipping & Cargo ltd, which we can't find. We told him we needed the credit card number, expiration date, security code and the billing address for the card.  We haven't heard back from him. I googled his name which led me to here.  Total scam!!

Ordered 400 sheets roofing panels to be shipped to brazil, paid material and freight bills with a credit card over $12000.00. We are to pay freight company when they pick up materials.
Credit card went thru, where is the catch? Cole is in wisconsin, cc in nashville,tn, frt co. ? Phone no. From ca.

Same story... Ordered metal roofing to be shipped to Brazil to his wife.  He wanted to pay with a credit card.  Needed us to set up freight with the company of his preference, a friend of his.  This friend would only accept payment from a business, not an individual. We asked that he send a certified check for payment of material and freight costs and we haven't heard back from him.

I just got the exact thing only want s 300 LFT of metal shipped to his wife in brazil.
H e contacted me through our website, then called me and wants me to get a shipping quote to Brazil.
So I googled his name and this is what I have found!

Same story New number 608-721-4109 and the shipping company "Grand shipping and Cargo Ltd" number 661-374-6080 with email addresses "greatcole4@gmail.com and grandshipping@hotmail.com" are the ones used

Glad I looked Godfred Cole up online. I received a request to quote him on 500' of 1/8" Vinyl Galvanized Cable. He says he is with AA-Sons Inc. and wanted to know if we accept credit cards for payment. He told me he was out of Green Bay, WI. and has the same (608)721-4109 phone number.

Green Bay's area code is 920-the 608 area code is down around Madison and Janesville. The number is owned by YMAX-aka MagicJack, as is this one

Godfred emailed me today, asking for a quote on a product he found on our website; a product we don't even sell.  He wanted me to quote him and asked if we accepted credit cards.  The phone number he is currently using is 608-721-4109.  He had't mentioned Brazil or his wife, up to this point.  I looked up Godfred Cole, read all of the comments here and then responded to his inquiry.

"Hi Godfred.  Your wife Gail has already called and paid for these floor registers.  We are shipping them out to Brazil this afternoon.  I over charged her by mistake.  So, if you could please respond with your real name, social security number, two credit card numbers and whichever one of your bank account's has the most money in it, I will deposit your wife's refund into that account immediately.  If you have any questions, please feel free to call me from your Magic Jack phone.  Have a super day!

Love, Chris Hanson

Update - just got email request from him for metal panels ... uses address of 28 Pleasant st, Green Bay, Wi and phone number (608) 7214109
