Automated caller with "important information for homeowners in [my] area", and asked me to press 1 if I was a homeowner.  Pressed 0 and was disconnected.  Does not respect Do Not Call list.

similar story.... call came in, I googled the number while it was ringing and did not answer it and they did not leave a message....

$14 area code is MI.

I challenged the call as not allowed to my cell phone.  He claimed that they had a reference.

How do you spoof cell phone numbers?

They called me too!

They don't respect the TCPA either in that they do not identify themselves in the recording. That's one felony.  When I pressed 1, the minion answered "Home Security Center". I asked who he really works for, and he hung up. Felony numero dos.

Do not trust these guys. If they have to break the law before they even talk to you, just imagine what comes next! They seem to try to get into people's homes under the guise of selling home alarm systems. Who knows what they're really after though.

Report these calls to the FCC if you're residential- in the report tell them that this caller refuses to identify themselves!
