the "189" prefix looks like a spoof... never seen a local prefix begin with a "1" before now

This number shows up periodically on my cell phone.  I think it is some spoof.

Telemarketer.  When it called me, it was offering me a wheelchair, I was like ????.  It's been making harassing calls at both convenient and inconvenient times for months, or perhaps the past year.  One time,  I listened through the whole part to hear the "to remove your number" part and gladly they provide it.  I don't know if it will work at the beginning when you pick up this number's call, press 5 to be removed from their list so they will quit making those harassing phone calls..
