Voice message left stated, "This is Officer Julie Smith from Internal Revenue Service and the hotline to my position is 415-234-9625, I repeat it's 415-234-9625.  Don't disregard this message and do return the call before we take action against you. Good-bye and take care."

I reported this to the FTC as recommended on IRS.GOV.

I called this number back they wanted my name and asked if I knew there was federal actions against me for back owed taxes.  I informed them I was disabiled and did not file taxes they hung up on me.

Claimed to be IRS, demanding 3800 dollars owed to IRS, or they will have us arrested. Wanted money sent from CVS to their account. Contacted local police and was informed it was a scam.

Call from 4152349625 claimed to be officer Julie smith. Blah, blah... Tried to return call and it didn't even ring.

Got a call from this scam on my cellphone and about an hour later on the land line. Clearly it is a computer voice and by the wording you can tell it was setup be someone who doesn't speak good English. A person would have to be pretty dumb to fall for this scam.

We got the same call today, twice!

I have received 5 calls yesterday, stating the same ...

I got two calls. First was a voicemail from an electronic system stating, "This is Officer Julie Smith from Internal Revenue Service and the hotline to my position is 415-234-9625, I repeat it's 415-234-9625.  Don't disregard this message and do return the call before we take action against you. Good-bye and take care."

The second call I answered and was the same recording.

Call 1:  Was from someone claiming to be from the Internal Revenue Service and stated that I needed to call them today before they take legal action against me.
Call 2: Don't disregard this message and do return the call before we take action against you. Good-bye and take care.
I called them back and the message stated that my account had already been activated and to contact my system administrator.  

Yes, I got this message--three times in the course of a couple of hours. I'm ignoring it.

Received the same call on my answering machine this afternoon.

I received an automated message from this number stating it was the IRS calling and to contact them immediately. I checked the number out on this website. It's obviously a scam.

Just received a call from this, stating it was the IRS.  Will report later tonight.

Automated message instructing me not to disregard message because it was from the IRS. The second time they called, I answered, and the party hung up. I called back and got a Magic Jack recorded message stating that the number I called was not yet registered with Magic Jack. This is definitely a hoax. I'll report this to Magic Jack. Both calls were received 11/21/2004.
