o my gosh!!!!!!!!!! just got a call from a officer from the IRS, Deputy Smith. telling me that I need to call this number 8 - 415-234-9703 concerning time sensitive material. Don't disregard this message. Return this call before they take any action against you.. Who ever called needs to read their script over several times as they didn't do a very good job.

They told me I owed $6600 in taxes and a warrant had been issued for my arrest on tax fraud which is news to me. They couldn't tell me what tax year or let me speak with their supervisor. I'm certain this is a scam. I can't see the IRS calling to warn you that they are arresting you. I never answer numbers I don't know but I was expecting a call and didn't look at the number.

Obviously a scam from fake IRS rep named "Laurie Smith." They called my elderly mother and really upset her. This number needs to be shut down.

computer generated voice identifying itself as "officer smith" from the internal revenue service. message was ominously threatening. clearly a SCAM! the IRS doesn't call and leave voicemail messages.

They left me a mess from the IRS to call them back at 415-234-9703 and I did call them back they told me that I owed money to the IRS and that was a warrant for my IRS. That's not true because I don't owe any money to the IRS.

I got this same #,(415) 234 9703, saying it was the irs & I needed to contact them in a timely manner...even tho when I did call back their box was full! & if it was important wldnt a REAL person hd been there to talk to me?!

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

These people just called me saying they were from the irs and i needed to contact them before legal action would taken against me.  

I also received a message from "Julie smith" but it was an automated call. I called back, the phone was answered immediately. We all should know that the IRS does NOT call you!! If they want to reach you they send certified letter, this has "SCAM" written all over it!! Beware!!!!

These people also called me and told me I had 2 complaints and had committed tax fraud and told me if I didn't pay the money I owed that the sheriff was going to come arrest me and put me in jail.  I almost had a heart attack.  I called them back a couple of times cuz the guy hung up on me after I told him I couldn't understand everything he said to me because of his broken English. I called back and a woman answered the phone Internal Revenue Service then hung up on me.  Then I kept trying back to leave a message and the mail box was full.  This people are crude and mean to be pulling this clap on people and getting them all worked up.  The man was asking for my criminal lawyers name and number.  They should not only be shut down but shot!

Got this call from Deputy Julie Smith from the IRS  telling me that I needed to call 415-234-9703 before they took action against me.  It is obviously a scam and I would like these people to be caught.  They do not sound American.

received a message from julie smith.  when i return the call, i also was informed that i owed 6k. when i asked who could i call to correct the matter, they told me it could not be.  same man and woman from some of the previous post listed answered the call.  these must be extremely desperate people.  hopefully, they are stopped soon.

Jokers calling from this number.  Called around 6:30 AM!!!  A machine voice telling me I need to call back since there is an "incidence" reported against me.

I've received few calls (voice message) on my cell phone regarding the same tax thing back in April. It was a gal and said calling from Washington DC. And that number was also listed on google as a scam.

This time, call came into my landline twice few days apart. Very annoying guy with heavy Indian or Middle Eastern accent. I didn't catch his name but voice message said the same exact crap. He even mentioned my full name.  I don't even bother calling back because I've filed taxes with my spouse through an awesome tax service past decade and I have nothing to be afraid of.

I think these f**kers are targeting peeps who actually don't pay taxes or manipulate taxes and nailing them psychologically.  It's a big time scam.  Disgusting.

Same routine as the above people. This is a scary and bad scam.  Don't return the call. That gives them entry to your phone info.

They have called me on a daily basis at first I was worried but I waited for the next day and they called back and it was the same exact message!! I owe no money , I have a very clean record. I am tired of hearing thus message if I don't awnser they call back ugh!!!! They need to be stopped.

They called my number pretending to be the IRS.    They are absolute scam artists and will even threaten you for money.  Do not give them any information about yourself.

Omg same thing happened to me this morning I called back and they told me I had a criminal fraud claim against me. For my taxes and that I had a warrant for my arrest now the only thing I could do was wait until I was arrested to get a criminal attorney.  I owed 6000. Bs my records are squeaky clean... they told me an officer was coming for me in the next two hours.. I DO NOT CONFER NUMBER ADDRESS OR ANYTHING TO THESE PPL. they are liars.  I called REAL IRS. This morning. The real IRS Irs.gov....these ppl need to be freaking arrested. .

They got my daughter this morning.  After returning the call on the answering machine from Office Julie Smith - I found out the message was for my daughter so I gave her the number and told her to call.  After about 5 tries, she finally got through and was told she was wanted for 2 counts of tax fraud, owed $6875 and could pay it or be arrested.  She told her that once arrested, she would be given a trial.  My daughter FREAKED out.  She left work and by the time she got home, I pretty much figured it for a scam especially since they told her they could not notify her by mail because it would be certified mail and there was never anyone home to sign for it.  I work from HOME - busted!!!  When she got home and tried about 4 different IRS offices - and could NEVER get a human being on the phone let alone after only 1-2 rings she started to relax.  A little more investigation and found this - which was the relief she needed.  

My heart truly breaks for anyone scared enough to give them the information they need to take this money from them and there must be some or they wouldn't keep doing it.  I encourage EVERYONE to go to the IRS website and fill out a complaint.  I can't believe they cannot locate the owners of this phone or just shut the number down if no one can be located.  It's clearly for fraudulent use!  

Just received a phone call from an automated system which said it was an important call from the IRS and to please call (415)234-9703.  I call the number, a woman says this is the IRS can I have your number.  So...I ask what number are you talking about, my phone number??? She says yes and I give her my phone number (mind you...I will never give my SS#).  So she reads me an affidavit.  Meanwhile...my head is swimming, my heart is pounding...what am I going to jail for??? $6000 I OWE???, Fraud???, but I pay my taxes or either I receive my taxes. I questioned things after she's finished reading the affidavit and she HANGS UP on me right in the middle of my questions.  I call back and the same person answers.  I say..."hey you just hung up on me!"  She says she didn't and she's not the same person.  I say you sure sound like the same person I just spoke with moments ago and she HANGS up again. I put a block on my phone and went straight to the internet, which brought me to this web page.  PS the caller has a strong accent and you hear a lot of other people talking in the background
