received a call from this number at 6:30am on saturday.  caller had a thick accent and very difficult to understand.  said his name was James Martin calling from the IRS about a legal matter.  Insisted that I let the recipient know that she "better call him back".  I hung up and the caller called back and left the same message on my machine.

This number called my daughter's cell phone.  Said an IRS case was being filed against me on Tuesday and that I must call back.  Claimed to be Internal revenue service.  IRS has toll free numbers and this number is linked to a YMAX Communications company and besides the IRS direct dial number as this would seem to be would be an area code 559 here in Fresno.  I called it back, of course being careful to block my caller i.d. and it picks up but is dead.  You would think the IRS would at least have an outgoing message.  I suspect that all calls made get logged and if that number calls back you get through.  But if the number is unrecognized or i.d. blocked you will not get an answer.

Received called on 4-14-2014 at 9:30 am and person began to talk dirty on the phone.  This is the same person that have called my number many times from different number pretending it's the IRS looking for money. He has heavy accent so it's difficult to understand.  He wants to intimate people into paying money while pretending to be an IRS agent. Once you let him know you know what he's doing....he calls more often and has gotten more aggressive.

    John Smith
Scam, my friends.  He has an Indian accent and he claimed to be John Smith from IRS office in California (San Francisco).  Yes, he said all the things others above mentioned, and when he could not convince me (us; you too, my friends), he asked me to call back at the phone number: 415-251-2961, to talk to Kenneth Webster about my case.  Seriously, how can law enforcement weed out these criminals?  Well, please, you may start from the phone number to whack these A.S.S.E.S.  I beg, please...

I received a call from fake thgick Indian accent this one's name is Mathew Davis claiming to be the IRS. The number is logged in our phone as 415-251-2961 also. First of all I used to work in a tax/ CPA type firm & the IRS would Issue a letter regarding the matter first, plus the way the government/ IRS works you would receive multiple letters at once. So big red flag right there.
Al though I wouldn't put it past the IRS hiring someone that no one could understand, this is a blat-ten prank phone call or the extorting type, almost like an African one where someone left you a bunch of money.
