I received a call from this number telling me I owed some money and they was pressing criminal charges if I did not pay. I called and give this to my lawyer and they are checking it out.

it says that it is CMRE Financial Services. they have called me 32 times in the last week. they dont have the right number because i ignore the call then listen to the voicemail and they are looking for the parents of Laney. i dont even know who the hell that is. i just want this stupid number to stop calling me. i have tried to call back to get them to stop calling my number but they always put me on hold for hours so i just hang up because i have better things to do.

Thanks a billion or the info concerning 415-323-1035. I got a call from them twice. The first time, I sent them a letter titled  Fair Debt Collection Practices Act,  [15 USC 1692c] Section 805(c) provided on the FDIC's website. When I send it to them and other collection companies, they're required to stop. If they dont, then they're in violation. The second time they tried this shenanigan, I called the Federal Trade Comission and reported them.
