Got a call from a mid eastern speaking man saying I should have my friend (who I do know) call him as soon as possible.  Supposedly my friend had committed a fraud and they want him to call them back.  I dialed the number back that they gave me, 415-366-0213 and a girl answered.  All she said was hello.  I told her why I was calling and she handed the phone to a guy.  He wanted my name.  Instead of giving them my name, I questioned them about who they were.  He started to get nervous and said it was late and he had to go.  He said not to worry that they wouldnt call me back.  I questioned him some more but he hung up.  Sounds like a scam to me.  The original caller ID listed 678-523 as the number.  It wasnt even a normal formatted number.

Had almost a dozen calls and 7 VMs today from 678-532 (415-366-0213) from a John Nathan of Indian-sounding descent.  He claimed there is a lawsuit being filed against me in CA and there is a federal investigation into my SSN.  Due to this investigation my bank accounts will be seized, my driver license will be revoked, and I will lose my job.  He said the suit will be filed "tomorrow"--which is a Saturday.  I called back and told them I am informing the FBI, the Attorney General of CA, and the AG of my state about them and giving them the information. Hopfully they will be apprehended. It is sad that people actually fall for this stuff.

Forgot to mention the guy who answered the phone said his name is John Conner but he sounded exactly like the same guy who was calling me.

i really saved myself from getting into a legal mess . geeat  thanks to john peterson  who spoke with the restitution head for settling my case buy using the OOCR law under section 716 and i really saved myself trust me it is not a scam

They called me too stating that I got a loan from a company and didnt pay them back so the company where I supposed to have gotten this loan from is going to file charges. He then tried to verify my information, but thank God he had the wrong information. So I began to do some research and discovered this site and 2 others about them. At that point I called them back using one of the names that they had used with someone else, and the Indian man that answered the phone passed it to someone else. When he got on the phone he tried to verify my information to "pull up my acct" and I provided all the wrong information. When I asked his name again he told me a name different than the one he told me the first time. When I called him on that he hung up on me. I tried to call back and now he has the nerve to tell me to leave him alone.

I think they want money. He tried to tell me something cost 5,000 +, and I just stopped him right there.  

First of all they are the dumbest criminals I have ever heard of. You call someone claiming to be a law firm representing the company I "supposed to have defrauded". Then you offer to represent me for 5,000. How are you going to represent the defendant and the plaintiff stupid a**!!!

Second, what company responds on a chat posting with people personal information. You would be disbarred a**hole. You stated that because of your credit your attorney didnt send the cops out. I thought you were the attorney??? Then what "attorney" can not write complete sentences. Your grammer alone tells me everything about your broke ignorant a**. I called Pac-West who is the provider of the phone service and they stated that if enough people call them they will investigate and shut the line down and do a fraud investigation.

I got a call from this number as well, different times throughout the day today stating the same scenario. They also went to the lengths as to call my job and harass my supervisor for my personal information. I called the Pac-West telecomm company and made a complaint with them and they stated that they also had several others on this matter. Told me to call them back in 3-4 buisness days to let them know if I am still being harassed and what the conclusion of the complaint I made. This is crazy and I would like to know who these people are and where they got my information from.

got call from Reggie White claiming to be Attorney with harrison law Firm with legal claim against my SS# began reading off script and when i kept interupting him he became angry when I persisted he began to get irate and made a threat to F**k my wife up the A** and to kill my children ( don't have kids) I finally hung up DON'T FALL FOR THIS SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry Pal YOU GOT SCAMMED I called a Consumer lawyer (a real one) and was advised they were getting many many calls on these [***]. report to your states atty gen or FTC

I recieved calls from Lou Johnson, Derek Brown, and John Davidson, all callers with the same voice middle eastern accent. He says he had a legal matter to settle with me. He said I owed money $5000+. I have never owed that much money in my life!! This guy constantly harasses me at home and work. Please don't fall for this scam!!!!!!!!!!
