Called saying they were the IT Brief. Reluctantly answered a few questions regarding our system challenges and agreed to an email with some information. So far, all I've received is the one email about data centers that proved pretty helpful.

Called 11 times within past 48 hours, have repeatedly told them I am busy and not interested in whatever spam/scam/fraud they are selling. People who give random people information over the phone, especially those that seem to work in IT (Chris G looking at YOU) are foolish and a huge security risk to their organizations.

A guy named Tim Bennett saying he was with IBM.  Wanted to talk to IT about updates.  I ask what kind of updates.  He said, "Updates to your IT department."

Yeah, ok.  We don't deal with IBM.  Goodbye, now.

Ok, seriusly, these people called an hour ago.

This time, it was a guy named Ed.  The company name is IT Brief and he was calling for our IT manager about updating our software.  Did not specify software and we do not use their services.

Ditto.  Said they were IT Brief.  Told them I was not interested.  They continue to call once or twice a week.

Called twice today.  Never leave a message.  Therefore I do not call back either.

They keep calling a government place of business asking for IT or Vern. Keep telling them they have the wrong number and they hung up on me.

Has called numerous times this week, mostly hanging up without leaving a message.  The two times I did answer, they were asking me to complete a survey.  Explained that we are a government agency, and do not share any IT related information with total strangers.  They continue to call...

The person on the other end wouldn't tell me her name or the company from which she was calling; she only asked for our IT manager so she could tell him about their "IT solutions." I told her we were an IT company and already had solutions. After I hung up, she immediately called back...twice. Very annoying.

Just got a phone call from this number as well. They agent asked for someone that handles billing, not IT, when asking to speak with a manager, a lady got on the phone, very poor english, when I asked where she was calling from, she said the Los Angeles area, Hmmmm! Thats funny, because they had a bay area area code. When going to their website, there was no information at all. When calling the number back, it is a recording saying if you want to be placed on the Do Not Call list press 9. I presses 9. We will see if they call again.

    Caller ID just showed "CALIFORNIA"
Caller identified herself as "Alex Young" and was very difficult to understand, definitely not an "Alex Young" sounding voice.
Knew me specifically by my name!  Wanted to speak about IT something, could not understand the organization she was calling from.  I initially thought it was someone from our IT department so I remained patient and courteous.  She started asking how many employees with the company.  She read my own e-mail address aloud to me and asked me to confirm it which I would not.  After repeated failed attempts to fully understand the IT organization she was calling from, I said "I don't feel that I am at liberty to answer these questions, please contact our corporate office."  She tried to ask something else I can't remember and I repeated "Please contact our corporate office."  Then she hung up on ME!

Received a missed call from this number earlier today and exactly 90 minutes later, they called again so I answered.  It was almost impossible to understand what the caller was saying.  They wanted to speak to an IT manager about some type of update.  After several requests to the caller to identify themselves the person said the name Juliana and I couldn't make out what was said afterwards so I hung up.

It seems like a social engineering call.  Please be careful everyone!

They called saying they were partnered with a few big name companies - so I decided to take the call. Turned out the guy just wanted some basic information updated so they could send me some info on HR software. Nothing else has happened since

Thanks to everyone who posted regarding this phone number. I typically do not answer my phone unless I know the caller and will respond (or not, depending on who or what) if the caller leaves voicemail. They left no voicemail and I quickly went to the internet to do a search and now I know for sure not to answer this. Thanks for the assistance on keeping the scammers at bay.

They called (with very poor English I might add) mentioning IT Brief and indicating they were affiliated with Ricoh. I told them we are not interested in adding any new 3rd party vendors and they wouldn't take no for an answer so I hung up on them. They have called back several times and I logged the number so I send them to voicemail and they never leave one. The last time they accidentally left their line open for the entire duration of my voicemail. I could hear a "hammering on metal noise" in the background and several non-English speaking people yelling and laughing.

IT Brief.  Couldn't understand them at all.  I think they just crossed the border from southeast Asia.

IT Brief called connection was really bad.  Not sure what they wanted.  Have called 2 times 1 for an employee that no longer works here and one to another that was busy.
