Ooma voip service calling. I called them to ask a question, now they blow up my phone. Rude, especially since I never told them they can call me, nor did I give them my number, they just highjacked it off of their caller I.D. Ooma is supposed to be a great company, so why they do not train their commissioned sales people to NOT call people unless they are invited to do so is beyond me.

not sure I'd say best, I'm a small business user, (1 line, 1 fax line, 3 employees, 4 handsets) and I still pay damn near what I was paying ATT!! $60 bucks short of what ATT cost! & they don't offer the features there home service does!

Best???  Vonage and OOMa very overrated.  There are many others that are less expensive, more features, and less headache

It's a VoIP service --- basically it’s a VoIP business service aimed at consumers. Consumers who don't have a corporate IT department to explain to the average user how "Voice over Internet Protocol" really works may be confused. So Joe Sixpack --- whose intellectual capacity never gets them beyond the sports page --- will be totally lost what's going on with VoIP. And most of these complaints either came from “Joe Sixpack” types or maybe some weird disinformation shills working for AT&T. I've been a Ooma subscriber since August 2013 --- for almost exactly two years now. And every interaction with Ooma has been totally logical and professional. In Northern California I was able to “purchase” for approximately $20.00 my former AT&T number in Area Code 510 and assign it to my new Ooma.com account. And I signed up for the Ooma.com “Premium Service” at $9.99 per month which gives me extra services and some very interesting detail on my call history. My Ooma service is located in my office where I have a relatively fast broadband connection which my desktop router spreads out to my desktop iMac, the Ooma telo device and a port I keep available for guests to plug their laptops into. The only other Ooma charges to my monthly charges for state and federal taxes that are due for the actual local and long-distance calls that I make. The average total has been about $14.31 per month for the past 23 months. And my previous handset now plugs into the new Ooma.com “telo” device which cost me about $100 to purchase. Before I was paying AT&T was approximately $55.00 per month. Versus the less than $15.00 that I am now paying for my telephone service. I’m happy with this deal. The decision to go with Ooma was much like the choice between “ … do you want an ice cream cone or a sharp stick in the eye”! My clue to Joe Sixpack --- the AT&T program is the “sharp stick in the eye” choice.

    Basically satisfied user
This was a Call Back from OOMA Cust Svc so was expected.

Looked at the rest and this seemed best for us.  Phone bill (taxes, etc.) < $5 / mo.  Plus upgraded to broadband fm dialup,  Now total internet + fone bill $40 less than before.  Total Payout < 4 mo's.  We'll take it for now.

Caller ID may say San Francisco, but when OOMA calls me caller ID says Palo Alto. Palo alto is also the business address city for US Mail.

Ooma returned my call from this number. We ditched Cox phone for $32/mo and pay $4.30/mo for better features (online call list blocking) and almost no telemarketers/robocalls.

Telemarketer who illegally called us again after telling them to put us on their Do Not Call list. I have reported them to the FTC.

They lied about someone at our company contacting them, as that person never contacts other companies.

Don't make the mistake of calling Ooma.  Once you call them, they will keep calling you all day everyday.  Unbelievable.

I discontinued my Ooma service and ported to Verizon nearly two years ago. They continued to charge me for over a year. After I complained to my bank and blocked them from my checking account, they tried to charge a debit card. Luckily that card had expired. Now they are sending emails and calling to try to collect because they can't charge the card. Incompetent and dishonest. Will never use or recommend Ooma to anyone ever.

    Unhappy with Ooma
Charged my credit card after the account was closed. Made them credit me back. Constant hang ups and emails saying my card is no good. Just told them this is harassment and would report to FTC and will consider a class action.  Somebody must can get payment for 3+ hangups a day and constant emails with a closed account to pay.
