caller claimed to be with the US Treasury department, collecting taxes for the IRS.  SCAM.

Caller claimed to be from US Treasury.  Urged us to call back to avoid prosecution.  Heavy Indian accent.

Caller purports to represents the Treasury Department and threatens that ignoring the call will result in prosecution.  To date we have received at least 5 of these calls.  We have not answered any of them; the information was left on our voicemail.

Similar to above.  Heavy accent.  Didn't really understand him.

Same as above. I did try calling the number but it was busy...

He also mentions his name is Steve Martin. I'm ignoring it but have gotten this call multiple times. Starting to get old.

Extreme harassment on the phone from this number. Heavy Indian Accent very hard to understand, threatened me to prosecute me with jail time for not paying my taxes properly.
Block this number from ever calling again!

Three calls this morning,  I suspect a recording,  if the department of the treasury wanted money from me, why did they just send me a check,  or take it out of my va disability since they issue the payments? Pretty sure it's illegal to pretend to be a government official

3 phone calls today, and messages. ITS totally a SCAM! Heavy Indian accent saying his name was Steve Martin. Threatened prosecution. It should be investigated, I am sorry for the poor elderly people that are vulnerable to these unscrupulous people

SAME AS ABOVE.....have received three of these calls from the same guy.  Threatening prosecution etc....very heavy Indian accent.  Will report this number......

"Steve Martin" left 2 messages, 5 hours apart and was obviously reading a script as they were word for word. Thick Indian accent, barely intelligible.  

Received a call yesterday evening (10/28/2014). Same as above. When I called the number, I did so for heck of it, I got a pitch for "Magic Jack". Total fraudulent scam.

No, when you call someone's magic jack number & they are not available you sometimes get a sales pitch before being able to leave a message. Simple as that - well that & the fact that the Magic Jack could be located anywhere in the world.

I have received three of these messages this week from the same guy, saving the exact same thing each time.  Says he is Steve Martin from the US Treasury etc. SCAM.

Claimed w Treasury when pressed for info told to go [***] yourself.

Like everyone above, I too have received many, many harassing phone calls from "Steve Martin" of the US Treasury Dept.  For last two months this dirtbag would leave the same recorded message claiming we would face prosecution if we did not respond, blah, blah, blah.  I blocked the first number and within 1 week, he called back with a new number leaving the same message 2-3 times a day on our message machine.  I blocked that number and another week later he called with a new number.  I finally got frustrated and called back and told him to stop the harassment and take me off his harassing list.  He said "that is not possible".  He knew my last name (then again, every solicitor has your last name when they call you), and I told him he was a piece of sh$% and an as&*&^*! I hung up, blocked the number and within 1 minute, he called back with a new number!!!! He called back 6 times within 2 minutes, saying "just talk to me". Very, very creepy and invasive! This piece of S%$# needs to be stopped! I have unlimited blocking and will continue to block every number.  By the way, these are all the numbers that have called me:  619-947-7096, 415-506-1287,  727-499-8343,  605-301-4590.  Put them on your blocker

What can be done? I have called the local police and now reaching out to my local phone carrier. Same description as above Indian - blah blah - prosecution
