Got a missed call from this number with a voice message left claiming that they are from IRS. Wanted me to call back but did not

this number called and when we called back they swore at us for calling them. [***].

receice 2 calls yesterday. I call back a person with a thick accent answer me. There was a noise like in a call center. He ask me my name and said that . An agent is going to contact me today. I was going to contact the IRS but I first google this number and voila it is a scam.

Got two calls from 415-506-2392 with a message saying that she  is Julie Smith from IRS, I called them back, but no one answer....

Just got one of these myself a few minutes ago. I don't owe money to the IRS so I figured it must be a scam and voila! Thanks 800notes! great source for this kind of information.

Received a call from 415-506-2392.  It was a recording asking me to call back before an action is taken.  The call did not identify where it was calling from.  At the end of the message, it said "Good bye and take care".

Got a call today from 415-506-2392. Same as all the comments above. Knew it wasn't the IRS and would never return a call like that with the number given in a message. Would have called the IRS directly.

415-506-2392 claiming i owe money to irs... second call this week the other was 202-864-1154... threatening to take legal action against me.  Just fyi the IRS will send written notice before contacting you also they will not ask for personal info!!!  The letters usually have a case number that they refer to.

I got one of the calls from the 415-506-2392.  Once I heard the message, I knew it was scam.  I called the number and got some guy on the line (with an accent) who hung up on me twice once I started asking questions about who he was and if he could provide some government identification.  When I called back again,  I asked to speak with "Julie Smith" who left the original message telling me to call right away because the issue was "time sensitive," and if I didn't call back, they would take action against me.  But I was told Julie wasn't available because "she fell down from the first floor and taken to the hospital because she was seriously injured."  

Seriously!  That is about the dumbest story I've ever heard. These scammers are stupid beyond belief.  (By the way, the Julie Smith message is a computer generated voice, definitely not real!)

I've reported this to the IRS Inspector General's office.  I hope they are arrested soon for pretending to be federal government officials.

The name says Navato on the caller I.D.  This is the third phone call saying I owe the IRS and I need to call their number.  Never having a pen on hand to take their number, I just called the I.D. number on the phone.  It goes to a voicemail.  Obvious prank to get information.  I hope nobody falls for this.  I am sure if the IRS wanted me, they would find me, and it would not be by a phone call.

Got two calls from this number claiming that "Julie Smith" is from the IRS.  Please stop these scammers.

I also received a voicemail from 415-506-2392.  Most of the message was cut off (didn't hear that it was the IRS)  but it did say this was time sensitive and that I should return the call to avoid further action. I am of course not returning their call, but it is consistent with the other's messages and clearly a scam.

They  called me and said it was time sensitive ,i called back and left message ,then called back later and a guy answered ,then hung up on me when I questioned him. Who can we call to report this activity.

Got the same call as everyone else from Julie smith IRS. Time sensitive. I knew it was a scam but called back to see what info I could get to try to stop the calls.  Got an answering machine saying thanks for calling magic jack (it sounded like they said magic) and to leave my number which of course I didn't.

Got a phone message from Julie Smith from IRS to return her call.  I returned her call and got a man with a thick accent.  He confirmed my information of name, address, and phone number.  then asked for my litigation lawyers name because I had back taxes and a case was filed against me.  I asked for what year and they hung up.  I tried to call back and there was no answer.

I got two today. Figured scam as well.Does irs call for such a thing?

IRS never initiates communications

by phone.  Always by US mail.

Never call them back.   Call them down and you'll get nothing but abuse and some of them call you over and over again out of spite.
