It's time the cell carriers give us a "Report Spam" option so this gets eliminated from future sms

Most major email services have this option

I got a text to call and receive  a $200 gift card... scam scam scam...

Text to my private cell phone reads: "Thanks 4 Visiting Our Website Call 800-571-4835 To Claim Your $200 Walmart Voucher! Reply STOP 2Unsub" All common sense in my mind leads me to believe this is a scam. I hope no one actually tried to claim a voucher, and to Walmart of all stores, the symbol of heartless corporate greed--quite fitting for a scam in fact.

"Thanks 4 Visiting Our Website Call 800-571-4835 To Claim Your $200 Walmart Voucher! Reply STOP 2Unsub".  I've received several of these over the last few weeks. Very annoying.

This is crap. Companies and people who send this type of stuff are SCUM. I don't even like to see this stuff in my junk email now it is on my phone with no way to block. Where are my rights? My number is on the do not call list.

Hey there all, so it is a scam. Hopefully no on has fallen for this jazz. Wish we could report scam text messages to verizon I hate getting them. I also get ones for mortgage rates lately. You don't get $200 for nothing especially from Wally world.

I got a text on my personal cell phone yesterday stating:  "Thanks 4 Visiting Our Website.  Please call 877-479-9801 to claim your $100 walmart gift card voucher.  reply STOP to unsub"  I replied as STOP.  today, i got the same msg from a different phone # (650-305-0301....and for a $200 walmart gift card).  This is ridiculous!

Received multiple unwanted text messages from this number.

I have received a couple of these texts on my cell phone and I don't have texting. I am getting charged by for these texts -- I'll have to put a block on my phone.  Stupid scammers!!!!

Fight SPAM!!!  Check your service plan.  Verizon Wireless allows you to restrict calls for $4.99/phone/mo.

Got the same text message as everyone else.  But only offered a $20 voucher at Walmart.  I even got ripped off on the scam!

Sad that we can't stop this crap and if someone is trying to, we don't know about it.

Maybe we should start a company to eliminate this stuff? Just thought for those of you that have a lottery win in your future

Does anyone know if replying STOP actually unsubscribe you from getting these text messages?

NO IT DOES NOT STOP THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE SCAMS.  

They claim they want to GIVE you these vouchers as a THANK YOU GIFT, and ask you for your credit/debit card to pay Postage with - but the intent is to get your credit card info so they can enroll you in a worthless membership program with MONTHLY fees,or max out your credit cards with unauthorized charges or steal your identity.

If it was a LEGITIMATE OFFER - they would send them on without CALLING /TEXTING you at all and not expect you to PAY to receive them

Even if the FTC website tells you if they say PRIZE or GIFT but you have to pay to receive it - ITS A SCAM

I got a text from this number with Walmart $200 message like the others - I had Verizon block premium messages just last week, but still these buggers got through. Very frustrating!

I got a Text from 415-548-0776 saying to call 877-220-2710 to claim a $20 Wal-mart card + $50 Gas Card. I called the # from my work fax line & they wanted my CC #'s to charge $2.00 S&H. I said "NO thanks" before I gave them ANY personal information. Thanks for posting your stories here. Nice to know that there are others out there looking out for others.
