The guy who could not speak proper English, calls from the above number and says he is from IRS and has filed law suit..... I got angry and put down the phone. Then I called the number and some guy picks up the call and says IRS and I say what IRS, he says dept of treasury.
I do not understand and I hung up.

I also got one call. Said he is from IRS investigative agency....i was sure IRS will not start calling people, but will send documents, so i asked him to send documents.

I just received a call from this # claiming that the caller us from the irs and need my attorney's information. When I asked why the caller stated that I owe the irs unpaid taxes and a warrant will be out for my arrest tomorrow. After challenging the caller by stating how do I know that this call is legitimate and it is not a fraud the caller  hang up.

After I googled the # from the caller id and saw these posts, I called back and asked how I can settle the unpaid tax; the guy said I have to call back in 5 minutes....what a scam!!!!!

Citizens are fed up

Caller asked for my attorney's name and number or I would face legal consequences.  Thick accent and very rude.

Called me today and I had a hard time understanding him. Asked for my attorney's name because I had a discrepancy on my taxes. Told me that a warrant was going to be issued for my arrest.

Some guy called and said that he is from IRS. This is a real hoax !

Persistently calls from this number and leaves messages about tax fraud and how the sheriff is going to come and arrest me. Wants my attorney's name

I had this person calling and leaving a voice mail about being a tax litigation attorney from IRS. This is a scam- some illegal Indian from India -[***] calling with a 7/11 accent.

Called my inlaws, didn't even have their first name correct.  Said there was a discrepancy on their taxes.  Didn't even identify who he was with

This idiot called and said there was a discrepancy on my taxes and need to called him back before legal actions are taken.  His accent was so thick he was hard to understand.

415-690-1279 some indian guy called and he said you have problems with income tax and police arrest you. This call bs do not response this type call it is fraud.

I received a call from this # and the guy said I had discrepancy in my taxes and I owe aprox $10,000 to gov. cops will come tomorrow to arrest me and keep my lawyer handy for bail. what a jerk! I'm filing a police report of this #.

Caller claims to be from the IRS.  Alias of Micheal Carter as the investigating officer.  Note: This is a scam and not the real IRS.   The IRS does not call people and say that you have to call a number back.  Also, the person doing the scam could not Identify any of the valid information the the IRS would be able to provide you with.  Please remember that the IRS never calls your home without sending you an official letter.  Also, you can verify any IRS actions with your local IRS office, please see your phone book or look up the IRS on the web as IRS.gov

I also received this same threatening call today. Really upset me!  Warrant out for my arrest?  What?  Filing a police report also. Not sure what the scammers are getting out if this though. They didn't ask for payment or anything?!?

Yes. Just got this call and actually had a difficult time understanding what the message was. Now I know. Assumed it was a scam.

I have called FBI for this

I have received two calls from the same gentleman.  Very thick accent and difficult to understand.  I filed a complaint with the Attorney General office in the State of Ohio and California as his number is CA.  I have tried calling the number back and either get a busy signal or this number is no longer in service but he just called with that number so obviously some type of scam.  However, the fact that he keeps calling and leaving voice mails on my phone that says that police are coming to arrest me and that I need to quit ignoring him and screaming in my phone is very upsetting.  More so because I have children and if they had retrieved these voice mails it would have upset them.  Anyone else have suggestions as to whom to report this man too?  I have tried calling back as he will hear it from me but the number won't go through.  He says his name is "Ricky Johnson" calling from the IRS and that I owe him over $10,000.  WTH!

Message left on my phone machine from 415-690-1279.  Called male with a thick accent that sounded Indian claiming to be with the IRS.  He gave a reference number 494453.  Said to call immediately - time sensitive - and asked for name of attorney. I looked the phone number up in Google and found lots of people with the same stories.  I blocked this phone number.  He is dangerous in that elderly people or people who aren't savvy could fall prey to his con game.  I couldn't understand the name he gave because his accent was too thick.
