Called me twice during middle of the day. Did not leave message. Called the number back and it goes immediately to a greeting that all customer service agents are busy.

called once, hung up before i could answer after two rings. i called back nearly an hour later and it was a machine stating i qualify for a prize for purchasing from a major retailer, then call was transferred to a representative who asked for my name and stated that i was qualified for a walmart voucher worth up to $100 but I would have to pay $4.95 first. Seemed fishy or like a scam but I was not sure, which brings me to this site to see if it is legit, but no real answers. everyone wants your money, and I am not quick to trust my information with anyone.

I received a hang-up call from this number on my cell phone.  I called back and it went straight to a VM greeting that said, "This is Lisa from Reward Redemptions.  You recently visited one of our affiliated websites, and in appreciation, you are eligible to receive a $100 rebate card redeemable at popular stores.  Press one to receive your rebate card.  Press 2 to be placed on our do not call list."  I called the # back from my work phone, pressed 2, and it hung up on me.  I called back and pressed 1 and asked to speak to a manager, I was put on hold and the call was disconnected.  I called back a second time, pressed 1, and asked to speak to a manager and was told they were very busy and couldn't talk to me; I persisted and the "gentleman" with whom I was speaking got angry, told me I was wasting his time, and hung up on me.  I called a 3rd time, pressed 1, and asked to speak to a manager.  I was put on interminable hold and eventually gave up and hung up myself.

In August 2014 my spouse was victimized by this scam from 415-763-0177.

The $4.95 shipping fee for the $100 gift card was paid by credit card.  Shortly thereafter fraudulent charges were made on that credit card, and the bank had to re-assign a new credit card number.

(It turned out that the fraudulent $4.95 fee was never posted to the old card, so we ourselves have no permanent record of it, though it did show as "pending" for a while on the online version of our statement, from somewhere in Florida.  The company name was listed as something like "Roadside".  At least some banks are obviously aware of this scheme.)

The telemarketer did make multiple follow-up phone calls, using a variety of different numbers, to the cell phone of my spouse, who called them out as scammers.

I listened to at least one of those calls on speaker phone, and also vaguely recall "Family Savings Club" as indicated above.  There was mention of discounts on a variety of potential purchases as part of their aggressive sales pitch.
