Get calls every other day (various times of day) from 415-803-8017. Caller ID shows GLBL RDS SVC. Area code is the San Francisco, CA area. I don't answer calls from non-local area codes or numbers I do not recognize. If it was important or ligit, they would leave a message. I set me cell to not show my number and called back. It does not ring on my end and a female recorded voice immediately says, "Thanks, for calling back. If you are not interested in receiving any future calls regarding our special promotions, and would like to be placed on our do not call list, please press 1 now." Nothing is said in the recorded message identifying the company/person calling. That is a red flag that it is a solicitation or scam call.

June 30, 2014.  I'm in Honolulu, HI.  They called once.  No message left.

Called our mid-fl landline at 2.27p on 7/2/14.  No msg was left, caller id is "Unavailable".  Low level scammer.

They called several times in past two weeks to our landline. Have called in past as well.  Calls come in waves.  We don't answer unfamiliar numbers.  No messages left.  Sometimes GLBL RDS SVC shows on caller ID. Real annoying - most likely scam.

They have been calling everyday. I just don't answer unless I know the number. Thank goodness for caller ID.

I picked up because I was curious. Caller was aware of a mag subscription I have, told me to disregard the imminent price increase and said I could lock in a lower price with her. I asked if she is with the mag, and when told No, I told her I would need to check her out. She hung up on me.

You should call your phone company & report the number & ask if they have had any other complaints on this.  I just got a call from this but I picked up & pressed down on a bunch of numbers all at once. I've been told that this will knocked out a phone caller for a while due to the fact it confuses the system that called & knocks it out of rotation & drops your number down their list as an unanswerable number. I still have a home phone & only put it on the hook when I am ready to use it, otherwise I have a cell phone just for friends & relatives. If not a relative or friend & they say they will call you, tell them they won't be able to get in touch with you but if they will give you their number, you will call them at a said time. If they aren't willing to give you a number to where they can be reached, then they are crooks & scammers for sure.  Don't let them get the upper hand...you stay in control.
I kept a scammer on the line for 25 minutes when I figured out that all he was trying to do was get my credit card number.  He said he could get me a better interest rate on my credit card. The thing is that he couldn't tell me which credit card he was trying to get me a better internet rate on. All he kept saying is, "You know, your credit card"...I then said, Oh, okay...I'll go get my credit card & give you my credit card number because I don't have the number memorized...I then put the phone receiver down, went to the bathroom, went to my kitchen & got me a nice cold drink of iced tea as it was a hot summer day. I then decided to make myself a sandwich, then took all this back to where my phone was.  I got back back on the phone & I told him I was sorry it took so long due to the fact I had sit my purse down somewhere & couldn't remember where it was as I apparently hadn't put it in my normal place when I came home earlier...this of course was a lie but he didn't know it...he said, "That's okay"...I need the number of your credit card so I can verify that you are the right person for this card.  Not one time did he ever ask for my name either & never did...So I ask him if he had a piece of paper or a computer & if he was ready for my credit card number...he anxiously said yet...he was so far very patient...this is how they are because they think they are going to get to steal from you...I then said my credit card number is...0000-0000-0000-0000 & the 3 digit number on the back is 000...this guy cussed me out up & down & slammed his phone down.  I had kept him on the phone for 25 minutes & probably this is something that usually doesn't take him more than 5 or 6 minutes...I figured I saved a few people from being ripped off that day by keeping him on the phone so long & wasting his time. I've never seen this number come up on my phone since. You should be able to block any number on your cell phone so they can't call you again. If they use a different number, just keep blocking them...

Has called my land line several times. Comes up California call on caller ID. Never leaves msg.

7-29-2014 Called & hung up after answering machine came on.  I could hear background voices on the message machine.  Must be a scammer.  Caller ID said GLBL RDS SVE (415-803-8017).

says GLBL RDS SVC on caller id. let answering machine put it up they hug up. scam !!!

Calls various times of the day....leaves no message. I answered one of the calls, heard some noises, but the caller hung up in a few seconds. Pain in the rear.

This number has called 3 times just today.   Caller ID says GLBL RDS SVC.   I don't pick up calls from unknown numbers and they never leave a message.  Very annoying.

Make that 4 times today!

I answered this number.  A woman asked for my husband, by name.  I told her that he was not available and could I help her.  She just said no, said she would call back.

Had been calling me a couple times a day, but missed calls. Answered today. They were offering me a renewal deal on a magazine I subscribe to. They are actually in Ohio although number is 415 area code.

I have seen that name before - GLBL RDS SVC - with a different phone number. Interesting to see that you had that name show up. It showed up as Cell Phone CA for me. Thanks for the information.

Called on 7/23/14 @ 2:04 PM. Not answering any call from a cell phone from CA since I don't know anyone that lives there. It seems like telemarketers are using their own cell phones to make calls.
