Some sort of on-line pharmacy. They call repeatedly. They want to talk to my wife. When I answer, they usually hang up. I faked a high pitched voice, and got some asian speaking person. I asked for their address so I culd report them to the FBI for selling controlled substances without a prescription, or for fraud. They gave an address of 1878 Shelton St, Shelton Tx 76051. Their caller ID says "California"
I have a great idea if you really want to get rid of them - I had been bothered by not only them but a few more - somehow my cell phone number got on a list. I had a 'gift card' visa which only had less than a dollar credit left on it. When I received my 100th call from them after I had told them 99 times not to call me - I placed an order, luckily I was in the car and driving so I had plenty of time to kill - I gave them a phoney address (they already had my name) and all kinds of other phoney information, they were so excited by the order. After about an hour they called back to say it didn't go through - I said "I know it didn't go through and I intend to make you jump through the same hoops everytime if you are going to continue to call so that you can experience the inconvenience that I have". Well, I haven't heard from them again!
That is awesome!!!! I can not get that pharmacy crap to quit calling me either. I actually ordered from them and had it fed x'ed to me and then refused the fed x COD, but they still keep calling. I am going to try your method.
I was called by them last night, or rather early this morning. 415 is a San Francisco #. I am in California, they called me between 12:30 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. 5 times and never said anything, I yelled at them for calling me and not saying anything! My husband also received calls last night too. I wonder, do you any of you use Metro PCS as your cell phone provider? Just curious.....
Lots of people have been getting calls from this number. There now offering money from the world lottery for 10 mill, If you send $900. Call or email the Federal Trade Commission at 1-877-382-4357 to report any money scams. Thanks.
I just got a call from this number in San Francis, CA wanting telling me they had a Sprint cell phone special they wanted to sell me. I told them that I was on a do not call list and it will cost them $1,200.00 to call me back. He was Indian sounding or from the Middle East when I told him this he hung up.
I can't believe all of the action generated by this number. I just got a call this morning made by a man with a heavy East Indian, or Middle Eastern accent, saying they were associated with my pharmacy. They knew what medication I'm taking. I'm so stupid I gave them my address, but came to my senses when they asked for my credit card number. The so called manager hung up on me when I asked for the name of my prescribing doctor. This just screams identity theft. I'm going to report them as soon as I learn what gov agency handles this. I'm also on a do not call list and don't understand how this slipped through.
just got a call from this number on my cell.....said they were doing an audit on hydrocordone.....i told them i had no idea what the hell they were talking about and i got my scripts at the local walgreens.....be very careful here as I agree with all of you on the fraud.....anyone notice you cannot call them back???
I had a call from a guy who was obviously east indian. When I told him that I was on the 'do not call list' he told me to go 'fk myself'. I then proceeded to tell him that he could do the same (among other choice comments) and I hung up. He immediately called back. My husband answered and asked the guy what he wanted. He told my husband "i like your wife". I googled the phone number (415-880-5599) and got the following info: The Telephone Connection of L.A.; 9911 W. Pico Blvd, Suite 680, L.A., Calif 90035-2721. President: Mark O'Krent email: gen5mok@ttcmail.net; direct line for O'Krent is 310-789-7979.
I'm not sure whether the US has a national 'do not call' registry that's run by the govt like we do in Canada. If there is such a registry that I can lodge an offical complaint, please post it
I got a call from this number today. They claimed to be selling duct cleaning services. I told them i was on the do not call list, the sales person just kept going on and on about the service and how i can't pass it up. Nobody else has said on this site anything about duct cleaning, maybe a new company took over the phone number but why is a company in San Fransisco US calling Toronto Canada to sell duct cleaning?
I got this number calling my cell too and it was a lady named Gloria asking for my husband. Really shady. I said they had the wrong number. BUt yea not the first time they call. So annoying. I have At&T wireless. in case the others think there might be a connection.
you really should tell them that you know they are scam artists. they are calling on behalf of a company that has gone out of business so i think they are just taking unsuspecting people's credit card information and making a fortune off it! they say they are calling from 1st Meds, which went out of business, and they are calling all of their old customers and saying that they are back in business and that their medicine is ready now, when that is not the reality. they must have bought the list of names from them. people are so dumb when they just so easily trust people and give their info like that. it's a bunch of crap!!
Ok so I received a call from one of these loads today, I had just gotten home from work. So the phone rings and its one of these guys, they want to offer me prescriptions drugs (now if you want to have a little fun with them, string them along.) So I said sure, i'm looking for Viagra/Cialas (you get the picture), so comes the phone of asking for credit card info I said sure, but again string them along (how long will it take to be shipped?, I'm looking at a few dates this month end and could use the pick me up) So you give them a bogus card, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and i gave them an expiration date in the format of mm/yy = 00/08, they aren't the sharpest scam artists by the way. So then the next thing is, what is name on the card...without hesitation "Imuh Morun", i would get a call back as soon as they run a check and give me confirmation and I said sure take your time.
They call back and said the card doesn't exist...so i said ok read the card number back to me....blah blah XXXX...ok what is the name on the card...(uhh...IMUH MORUN...) i said thats correct...you are...say it again...(they needed a second to let it perculate or ferment (so to speak)and then...click) They haven't call back...if they do i'll think of some other ways to play this game with them...hey, its their dime!
The other way to combat these loads...if people start using the same sort of bogus credit number like 1234 4567 8901 2345 and the same name like IMUH MORUN, they'll kinda get the idea that you know who they are and what you are trying to do and don't want to deal with you or take the time to waste their time with you...in the meantime its fun! :)
I just got a call from this number...the asian person asked for me..but I hung up ...since it was my cell phone and I was at work. The number immidately called back, leaving a voice messages...stating that I needed to call them back immediately (all sorta nasty) and stated not to disregard the message or have my Attorney contact them, and they further stated that if they did not hear from me then they wished me the best of luck!. I deleted the message. I would like to know how these people are geting our cell phones numbers?!
I just got a call at my shop... told them that I was an investigator and that they were calling a crime scene. Told them that all callers would be placed on the suspect list and that I needed to speak with their supervisor... also told them that we would be investigating them by tracing the phone number and that they would be brought in for questioning.
SO today i received a phone call from that same 415 number.....however selling me prescriptions was the last thing on his mind. He didn't ask me for any financial information. He didn't ask me for my address or at least it didn't get that far. I asked him how he got my number and he told me a woman named Carol gave it to him. I don't know a Carol and told him that and he said she knew me so I said then you need to ask her what I look like....he gave a very vague description that was actually accurate. That was a little scary. He then asked if I would meet him and I said no. What he wanted was sexual in nature. He has either gotten lonely or there is more than 1 guy. This guy also sounded middle eastern or Indian with a thick accent.
They called me today. I said who are you ... no reply. Then as I started to hang up a man said hello how are you? I cut him off with a curt What do you want? His short response was "You're dead" ... no more no less. I hung up and got concerned so I found this 800Notes web site and I'm adding to it.
this number called twice today. I let the answering machine take the call but nobody answers. I don't how they got my home number but I never answer long distance calls and let the machine take it. These long distance numbers never leave a message so it's not important to answer. Best advice, never answer long distance calls and let them leave a message instead.
