Answered the call, after a few hello a man came on line with loud back ground noise, after I asked who he is, the line become silence. I will block this number from calling me.

Just called. Answered since it said " Novato" 10 miles north. No one at other end. Probably a new number for A-1 Solar.

Called again this morning. I called back. Number is disconnected or no longer in service.

This was my number 10 years ago. I received a call last night from someone in Novato who was getting relentless calls from this number. I contacted Verizon and AT&T. They explained that the telemarketer is "spoofing" with my old number to make it appear to be a local call. The phone companies said there is nothing they or law enforcement can do about spoofing. I can tell you this folks, it's not me and I am sorry it is happening.

I have been getting daily calls from this number on my cell phone. And today that started on my landline. Novato is next town over so thought it was local. I never answer unidentified calls but called back and it was reported as a disconnected number.

A red flag to me is when the Caller ID shows the name of a state - or I guess, a city would be another one.  I never answer these unrecognizable calls.  If they leave a message, they are legit and I will call back.  These creeps are RELENTLESS and NEVER leave a message - so I am perfectly fine NEVER picking up.  Since they call numerous times per day (different numbers, etc), it is annoying - but I have learned to tune them out and actually feel pretty good that they are still wasting their time on calling me.  I keep a record of the numbers, and have started to recognize some that call over and over w/ the same number - but I think most of them change (or spoof) to new numbers to try and trick people.  Solar and saving energy (SDGE), lowering your mortgage interest rate and security callers seem to be the worst offenders.  And of course those ridiculous idiots "from Microsoft" telling me they noticed something wrong with my computer.

Luckily, since they do call 7 days/week, they do not seem to be calling after 9 PM or before 8 AM.

Repeated calls throughout the day for weeks. No one responds. WHY? And, more importantly, how do I make it stop? I am on Do_NOT_Call Registry.

I keep getting phone calls from this number from Novato.  It's not from anyone I know so I'm blocking it.  It's really annoying that 99% of the calls on my land line these days seem to be computer driven sales/marketing calls.

1.  Do not call registry does not apply to 'charity,' 'survey,' 'political' calls.
2.  The caller is:
a.  A crook/scammer
b.  A crook/scammer pretending to be a charity, survey, or political caller.

I'm trying to figure out WHY these sleazy companies set up and pay for these calls when no one is there.  I heard they get paid by the sponsor for every call answered regardless of having a conversation or making a sales pitch.  I agree with Terry, we pay for phone service just to get these idiotic calls.  There has to be an answer to this problem, workin' on it!!!!!  My calls more than doubled AFTER I register on the DNC list - the FCC is worthless.

called my home-5th time, and immediately called my cell phone-very suspicious, that means they know who I am and have both of my numbers, I got the same loud male voice as with the previous caller then a hang up but couldn't understand what the person said on my voicemail. I just forwarded that number from both my cell and home to my google voice number as 'blocked' with the message 'this number is no longer in service'-hopefully it'll just stop

This number & 415-234-1004 called me today within an hour! Want to bet they were the same people?

Called and no messaage. I had a heads up in Marin that this number is calling.So when they called today I knew it was a scam!!! I called the number and its disconnected so that means the number calling is spoofing. Lately on my landline its either solar or to check my computer. These type of people really seem desperate. In the local paper a lady said that a person calling to say she had unpaid taxes. I will block these idiots!!!!!!

This # calls relentlessly throughout the day- super annoying and so not right. Wakes my kids up late at night. Make it stop!
