Caller named Julian with a foreign accent (India) claimed to be from the Department of the Treasury and that I owed over $1,000.  Asked him what was my balance and he didn't know, asked him my last name and he didn't know.  I knew it was a scam, but I played along.  Since he figured out that he was losing the argument, he decided to threaten me stating that the cops were coming to my home to arrest me shortly and take all of my property.  I said no problem, I would be waiting, and hung up.

Caller left a message that "the U.S. Treasury"  was seeking me and call back immediately in order to "avoid appearing before a magistrate or grand jury".  Evidently the scam that involves buying a prepaid credit card, loading it with money, and providing the caller with the card number.  Despicable.

Received a voice mail from "Steve St. Martin" British accent said he was with the US treasury and that I needed to call back immediately. I deleted the rest of it. This is the 2nd scam IRS call in 2 days.

I also received a call from Steve Martin tonight stating that he was from the US Treasury. I will surely not be calling back based on this information. Besides, do we even have magistrates in the United States?

Someone needs to put a stop to these scamming pieces of garbage. Send them back to their own country because this stuff don't work in America

No kidding, so I have called "Steve Martin" at least 30 times already today, will continue to call him, he is finally getting angry, now answering the phone "what do you want"

I don't answer but he leave a message. Needless to say that I am not going to waste my time with this guy.

Steve Martin called us today.  Wow, Steve Martin.  Who knew he'd fallen on such hard times.  At any rate, we've receive several of these calls, usually recorded messages.  I wish they'd call live so I could try to shame them about scamming susceptible people and "wouldn't your mama be proud".

Have gotten several calls over the last few months and they say if I do not call back something about going before a judge.. My husband actually talked to the guy before and the guy was very rude.. Do not talk to these people.  I guess they think we're all stupid or something...
