I just started a new job barely a month ago. I got in to work this morning to find a note from my boss that told me to call these people and tell them to stop calling my work number. I was embarrassed and humiliated, as I do not know who this number belongs too. I have tried calling many times this morning (CST) and each time it will ring about 3-4 times and then I get a beep-nothing else!!!

I also received a call from this number at my job today!!!! I asked whom I was speaking to and where they were calling from and was given no information, but was spoken to in a very disrespectful manner and hung up on.  I tried to call back and the number rang until I got a beep!!!!

I am getting the  same phone calls saying they are from the district attorney's office !!!!

I am not sure what these people want or why they are calling, but I called them back and advised them my number is on the do not call list and they would start being charged fro every call they made to my CELL phone. They have not called back.

This number has called me several times within the last 5 mins and I'm not sure why I just ignore the calls

A man saying he was John Williams stated he was a paralegal for the state attorneys office.  He said  that Kevin Peterson was filing a law suit against me. He told me if I didn't call this number in a half hour that he was going to send a police officer to my residence to investigate this matter. He also said that I would be in jail for 6 months. He was very rude and would not answer my questions. I told him to go ahead and send the police.  Don't these boneheads know that the legal system doesn't work that way? Apparently they think that scare tactics would work. I called this number and got 'Kevin Peterson'. When I asked what company he was working for, he asked me what my name was. I told him I wouldn't give him my name until he told me what company he worked for. He hung up on me and has not answered any of my subsequent phone calls.  Needless to say I'm still waiting for that police officer after 2 1/2 hrs!  I'd like to send the police to close up this scam office. Don't fall for the scare tactics of these scammers!

Same thing. But he told me that there was a lawsuit against me for a  advance cash loan that i never every gotten.

SCAM SCAM SCAM  from (415)937-8430.  They keep calling only to leave messages, when I get a person on the other end they hang up immediately! They leave threatening messages from barely english speaking people claiming to be from State Attorney's Office about a defaulted loan!

I have received 4 phone calls from the same number. John Williams was the person who left a message on my phone saying he was from the State Attorneys office and if I don't call him back today my information will be sent to the courts and I can be placed in jail up to 6 months. He is very rude and hard to understand. I tried to call them back and it just rings then beeps at the end.

Got the same call 3 times.  I could hardly understand the persons speech, but they basically said that I need to have my attorney call them and if I ignore the call, I will have to pay the consequences.  I am shivering in my shoes.  I guess the person doesn't get any at home, and has nothing better to do.  Pretty sad life!

I received 4 calls in 2 minutes and 1 message and it was a threatening message.  So I called back and got a 'Kevin Peterson' said he is with the State Attorney's Office I told him I don't appreciate threatening messages and he wanted my name and I asked him what kind of company he represents and wouldn't tell me so he said to have a nice day and hung up on me.  Why is this legal?  I don't understand I am on the DO NOT CALL list and who gives anyone the right to leave a message wishing me good luck!  I am absolutely furious right now and they better not call again or I will call the police.

This is a CashadvanceUSA scam.  I had the same thing happen to me.  A male who spoke pathetic English called and said he was from state attorneys office and they were filing check fraud and blah blah blah against me.  Funny thing is the SA office in california is way different from this number.  I contact my local SA office and file poice report.  Both stated this is a scam and give the caller no info.

How funny! The "paralegal" from his office called me this morning and threatens me with the same .

I will like ti know whos calling from that number i been calling that i am going to been arrested if a dont pay a money from a payloan that i dont havent made

I been calling again to that number and dont want to give me no information just that tomorroe at 9 am i dont have the money theyre coming from california from my job to be arrested...what kind of people is this they dont have nothing more to do..just triying to still money to other people

calls all the time leaving a message saying it is John Anderson and that he is an Attorney and that I need to call him back I finally got an answer this is totally a scam would not tell me what he wanted said the office was closing. I am going to call him every day two or three times and waste his time.

I received a call today on my cell phone at about 8:15 a.m.  I didn't pick up so they called my home phone at 8:30 a.m. The person who called said that his name was John Anderson and he was a para-legal for the States Attornies office.  I asked him what this was about and he said I was being sued for not paying a loan back.  Well, I knew this was not true.  I asked who was sueing me and he said that I would have to talk to the attorney Chris Noriega and to call him back at this number for more information.  By the way the first man I spoke with "John" had difficulty speaking English" and when I told him to repeat something or that I didn't understand him, he yelled a me and hung up.  He then rudley called back and to me to call Chris Noriega for further information.  Chris was even ruder.  He actually scared me and I started to cry. I kept telling them they had the wrong person or that it was Fruad.  He told me if I did not comply that I would be arrested tomorrow, (valentines day) and that they would freeze my checking account for 6 months. He said he would look into it again today and call me back tomorrow.  You better believe I will not be answering that number.  My blood pressure skyrocketed and I almost had to go to the emergency room!!!!  What can be done about this???????????????
