- maria| 2 repliesSome kind of threatening calls, first time i received this one. SO wondering if any one has been receiving this call also or this number.
- Caller: lisa thomas
- susan replies to mariaI also received a call from this number posing as the pre trial processing summons department, that were calling for my brother and stating that there are aligations forming against him? So far it sounds like a scam from what I've gathered online
- Reggie| 2 repliesHey all,
I also received a call from this number but this person left a name April Rogers. She also stated that there is a aligation against me pending. If anyone has any more information please post them. - Kara| 2 repliesYep I received call from Lisa Thomas also saying she is from the pretrial processing department for global solutions. I fell for their scam last week before investigating further they had me scared and I gave them my card number after they contacted my mother,my spouse, my spouse's cell number and my home number, threatening and yelling at me because of a payday loan from 2010. I then contacted my back and filed a fraud scam claim against this company as well as stopped my card. No money was ever deposited from them on the date they provided, my bank researched this. I looked up the company that drafted the money out of my account Wolf burgh and Stein and found out the company is forfeited and the address is to a Ups store, no phone number. My male friend called them back they believed they were actually talking to me, he requested a debt validation letter and address and Lisa Thomas had no clue nor did she know what the FDACP was, she said that is nit their process they only would send letter to me after they received immediate payment. She got very nasty yelled and then the minute he told her we were contacting the states attorneys office she hung up!! Do not fall for these people! !!

- Alfalfa replies to KaraHow can I verify whether or not a debt collector is legitimate?
Here are a few warning signs that could signal a debt collection scam:
The debt collector threatens you. Legitimate debt collectors probably won't claim that they'll have you arrested or claim that they or their employees are law enforcement officers.
The debt collector refuses to give you information about your debt or is trying to collect a debt you do not recognize. You have certain rights to ask a debt collector to verify the debt. You can use this sample letter to request this information. Ask for an explanation in writing before you pay.
The debt collector refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number.
The debt collector asks you for sensitive personal financial information. You should never provide anyone with your personal financial information unless you are sure they're legitimate.
If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:
Ask the caller for his or her name, company, street address, telephone number, and professional license number. Many states require debt collectors to be licensed. Check the information the caller provides you with your state officials, or the state in which the debt collector holds a license. If the caller refuses or is unable to provide you with information about his company, or if you can’t verify the information he provides, do not give money to the caller or company.
Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." This notice must include:
The amount of the debt
The name of the creditor you owe
A description of certain rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, consider requesting this information in writing or seeking assistance before paying the debt to make sure the debt, and the company, are valid.
Tip: You can consider sending the collector a letter requesting the information by using one of the CFPB's sample letters. You can also submit a complaint to the CFPB or you can contact your state Attorney General’s office.
Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know the company or person you are talking with is a real debt collector. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft such as:
Charging your existing credit cards
Opening new credit card or checking accounts
Writing fraudulent checks
Taking out loans in your name
Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate – but you think the collector may not be – contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
Report the call. Submit a complaint with the CFPB or get in touch with your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers.
Stop speaking with the caller. If nothing else works and you believe the calls are fraudulent, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files.
Tip: You can use this sample letter to write a letter demanding the debt collector stop contacting you. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
Tip: If you're having trouble with debt collection, you can submit a complaint with the CFPB online or by calling (855) 411-CFPB (2372).
http://www.consumerfinance.gov/ - CWG40 replies to ReggieAny "allegations" against you would have to be on a public record somewhere. Someone is just putting out legal mumbo-jumbo terms in order to scare you. Looks like a debt collector. If that is the case, demand a debt validation letter be sent to you by US mail. E-mail no good. They don't do this (and they won't) simply block the calls and ignore them. THis appears to be some sort of scam call.
- CWG40 replies to KaraThis is part of an ongoing scam by something calling themselves "Global Solutions". They say they are in Florida but when you talk to their representatives, it sounds as if they are located overseas, possibly in India or Pakistan. Not clear exactly where they are located.
- MarioI received a phone call on my answering machine from a woman named Jessica with a strong African accent, possibly Nigerian, very hard to understand what she is saying. Apparently, I have some allegations against me from the free processing trial summons from the state of California and that I should call the number 415-993-1128 to discuss my case. You can easily tell it's a scam because they don't sound professional and they suck at expressing the message eloquently.
- Kim HHave been receiving these calls for over two months, at work and home, it is always a different person saying they will serve a summons at work or home. Told them to show up and let me see what it is, they never showed up. A real debt collector sends letters first, then calls. They told me I owe over $37,000 in credit card debt and most debt collection companies would settle for $16,000, but they will settle for $569.00.

- Teresia Balderaz| 1 replyThis is a scam. They try to scare you into paying them. They told me the State was coming after me. The State does not contract with outside companies to collect money!!! This "company" uses different phone numbers, always 415 area code. If they call you, hang up!! DONT FALL FOR THIS SCAM!!!

- SGThese people are nuts. All I can figure is that they pulled my info from a recent rental application, as I've been searching for a new apartment. Here are the companies I applied to, do they match up for anyone else? Clearly they are selling information to companies:
Everest Mwamba Investments
Bay Property Group
SG Real Estate
If anyone else applied to an apartment using one of these companies and has been getting calls from these numbers, let's figure it out and call them out on it!- Caller: Global Solutions

- TracetIt's out of control how many times these people have called me in the last 3 days. I yell at them, tell them I know exactly what kind of "company" they are, etc... and they still keep calling. They "handle disputes" my a**!
- Caller: "Global Solutions"
- Sue replies to ReggieI have also received a call from this number stating I am being audited, they have called my grandson, daughter and me. I think it is a scam also and I blocked them.
- NelThe have called me 3 time already and I was concerned at first than I realized that the debt they were talking about has long since been paid. I told them I had to research and get back to them. I'm glad I read previous post, I am not going to call them back, they don't have enough of my information to "garnish" my wages, and they can not send me any proof that the debt even exists.

- BaileyThreatened to show up at my place of employment.
- DebMy daughter years ago borrowed from a fast cash place, & paid them back! They are calling my husband & me, leaving threatening messages. Saying their going to her place of work & they have allegations etc etc. Their driving me nuts! Lessoned to be learned, stay away from those fast cash places. They wait for awhile after paying them off & then start excusing you of not paying them off. Such scam artist! I'm going to need to block this # but there's also other #'s they use. Their very stressful indeed.
- MonalisaI have also recieved call from Jermey Jones from Global solutions accusing me of unpaid loan from 2008. Said they were sending me to court. They had contacted my brother also accusing me. This happened to my husband couple months ago this is scam number was 18009890535

- Jenn replies to mariaMe too!!. She was going on n on about some kind of online loan that I did in Nov 2008. Apparently I applied, money sent to an account in Texas. $900. Funny thing is, I left Texas years ago. I wasn't living in Hawaii at that time. I called that bank n they saud I have no account with them. They had my most recent address but I wasn't here then. :) I was very calm, but she was sooo frustrated she started yelling over the phone. she got more mad n told me I'm going to be taken to court. I asked if she'll be there. She hung up on me.
I spoke to another lady n I told her I'm not paying anything. Geraldine said, "there was a person who said the same thing. He was taken to court, n he had to pay the court/fees which equal up to $2000. Judge told him he should've taken care of it" I called her on her BS.
It was fun pissing her off. - washington replies to Teresia BalderazThey just tried contacting me last night with a 208 area code. 208-417-2966 they said that they were Global Solutions Arbitration and that I had a civil suit pending
