A1 duct cleaning scam called again. They call everyday but use a new #. This one is blocked! I told him off and he hung up on me. Felt good!

Today these scammers went by Home Duct Services. Other recent numbers for this scam are:

Apparently, ViaConnections is the telemarketing company who hires these telemarketers living in Karachi, Pakistan

I had many calls from them. Though I advised to remove my number from their distribution list, These callers never stop. And they are trying to be so aggressive to make me agree although My home is new and not require any cleaning. Next time I planned to let those [***] come home and tell them I never agreed to do the cleaning and waste their times

They call every day and I usually don't answer.  Answered once and it was air duct cleaning.  I told them to stay on the line, give me their name so I could report them to the DNCL registry and file a formal complaint.  They hung up fast but continue to call.  Annoying.

next time they call dont hang up, put the phone down and do what you need to do for 15 minutes. Let them hang up

better yet, ask to see their business license, and their liability insurance before setting foot in your property, otherwise you are liable if their workers hurt themselves or anyone else.

and take a picture of the license plate on their truck, too.

they don't care about any "lists" because they know they're outside the jurisdiction.

and i think they get paid (a little) just for making the pitch (obviously more if they can get a sale), so just block the number.

These scammers also call from a  number registered to a non-existent auto body shop in Oshawa Ontario.  They usually are trying to sell you duct cleaning but it is also insurance at times and other times its a mortgage refinance. The little research I have done on this number shows they company they claim to represent doesn't actually exist.

Duct cleaner calling me again. I have told these people time and time again that I live in an apartment and don't need this service. I've politely asked to be taken off their list but they just keep calling so I've blocked all their numbers.

Next time these guys call and I'm going to make an appointment and when they're here I'm going to call the police while they're setting up.  Has anybody out there actually used these guys?  Who did you make the cheque out to?  Somebody has to have a lead.  Please let us know.

I thought I had already registered a complaint with this number and I had.  It sounds like a long distance ring but it appears as a local (Toronto) number.  No message, I just let it ring.  Annoying.

They keep calling.  Every time I say I'm not interested and ask to be taken off of their call list, they immediately hang up.  I find that disgustingly rude! When I try to call back it states that the number is not in service. ???
