Yes something should be done in regards to this company and the unprofessionalism they conduct on the phone, my father an 80yr old man, recieved a call asking for an Unknown individual, he was told that, became extremely Rude and called him a Liar. Lucky i wasnt Home.. I worked in the Collection Field and this is INEXCUSEABLE!!

called, claimed to be a bank, did not identify self, rude, humorless. phone check revealed number not a bank.

Received call at 8:41 p.m.  Unknown name.  Identified herself as Teressa.  Gave a toll free number 1-877-221-2285 ext. 5491.  First time for this number. I never answer calls from Unknown name, Unavailable or Private name.

Female called 10.31.07, asked for someone who has never worked here. Asked her which company she worked for. She lost it and hung up. Found head office # 416-412-3070 web site:www.ncn.ca. Called and talked to receptionist who transferred me to Eva Revis(?) x. 5554 voicemail. Left message to call me back about removing # from their records. Still waiting for call. Wonder why no one wants to know their employees are wasting their time following up a dead lead?

WARNING!  These individuals are now identifying themselves as the Government. They are looking to collect on student loans.  When I tried to call back I first got a fax tone and then a busy tone.

I've been getting phone calls for my adult daughter who is 22 years old and rarely home, I do give her the messages every time, this morning at 8;15 am A very rude women called and asked for my daughter, I told her she was not home, she asked when would she be back .I said I dont know, what do you mean you dont know, among other things she rudly said, I hung up on her, she repeatedly called me back 4-5 times in a row, mouthing off to me!! this is harrassment, I owe these people NOTHING!!! this person would not give me her name.

This number 416-291-3756 is from NOR-DON Collection Network in Scarborough Ontario.
I am in the process of reporting them, as they are NOT allowed to harass.
I have sent them 2 faxes and an email demanding they CEASE and DESIST.
The person they are looking for has not been seen nor heard of for years.
They continue to harass my ailing mother.

We do have laws to protect us.

MOST people don't know their RIGHTS, these Collection Agencies get away with behaviour and actions that contravene provincial legislation. They fail to realize this.

Now...I will see to it they are punished for their illegal and unlawful antics.

If the nature or frequency of the collection telephone calls is upsetting you and the calls won�t stop, you have the right to demand in writing that all future communication be in writing only. It�s an offence if a debt collector doesn�t follow your request.

Also Call Bell Canada and complain to them.
Creditors are not allowed to use Bell Lines or Equipment for harassment activities.

They have called our home repeatedly over this past year and are looking for someone we have never heard of.

I have informed them each time that they have the wrong number and they refuse to remove us from their list. They also refuse to identify who they are. Thank you to those who have posted the helpful information above to help identify them and resolve this issue.

Someone called claiming to be "Ms. Rose" with a blocked ID. I have spoken to this person before, calling for an employee that cannot be reached by the office phone. She became extremely rude and actually attempted to belittle and insult me. When I was unresponsive, she started yelling and I hung up.

Minutes later, what I assume is her supervisor called back from this number which shows on their site www.ncn.ca as a fax number. He would only identify himself as "John".

These people are harassing and keep calling no matter how many times they are told to stop and no matter how many times they are told the employee is not able to come to the phone.

I suggest everyone make complaints about them to the Consumer Affairs office: http://www.ic.gc.ca/epic/site/oca-bc.nsf/en/ca01786e_1.html and to Bell Canada or they will continue with these practices.

PEOPLE LISTEN UP!

I am seeing a lot of people saying they called at crazy hours of the day (7am, 1am, etc.). This number is a collection agency called Nor-Don Collection Network (or NDC). As such, they are bound by the terms of the Ontario Collections Agency Act, which states that may only call between 8am - 9pm. If they are calling outside of those times, get the name of the person calling and a contact number at NDC (to protect the integrity of the information they provide you, do not tell them why you really want the info). Once you have the info, file a formal complaint. The gov't doesn't screw around with this stuff and if you get the proper information, you can nail NDC and other collection agencies for breaking the law.

Oh!! Thank you, a collection agency from Ontario. I just received for the first time this phone number. My ID showed 1-416-291-3756.If there was a message I erased it from the memory, I have a policy never pick up any calls which I don't know. I have no dealings from Ontario at all.I have no time for telemarketers, collection agencies. I have never heard of Nor-Don, until a placed this memo here.

I closed the business a year ago and because of misunderstanding one of Business Credit Card Company sent my bill to collection.

NDC employees are very rude and verbally abusive. I've got more then 3 calls within a week from them. Their supervisor, Mrs. Kerry McVictor (I apologize if I got her name wrong) has been harassing me and threatening me to contact my other creditors (personal credit cards) if I don't pay right away. She was pushing me to use my parent’s money to pay this debt and provide my parents phone number. She indirectly called me liar and looser. I have asked for the proof that I am personally responsible for this debt, and she never provided it. I am sending complaint to her manager today (Mr. Owens) and if this is not escalated with their upper management I am filing the official complaint with Consumer Protection Branch.

I am not letting anybody to bully me.

It's the second time I have received this call,since I got my phone some six months ago. Both times no messages, just registered on my ID caller and both times around 12 noon. No one at home at that time, thus giving them ample time to leave a message. Thanks to those who mentioned thats from "NOR-DON Collection Network in Scarborough Ontario". Who the hell are they? I never pick up unknown calls anyway. Thank God to caller ID on my phone.
