junk call selling BS

i got call from this number and caller didn't talk anything... plz let me know who is this and why trying reaching me

I received quite a few calls from this number. I never answer however they leave a recorded message claiming they can help get me out of debt. Yeah right!

I've been getting calls from this number on my home phone.  It is always a recorded message regarding debt consolidation.  So far I've just been hanging up on it, I haven't bothered to try and talk to a real person.

I am getting calls from this number every few days or so. :(
An automate is talking about debt... I hang up right away, never heard the msg till its end.

Should this be reported to the police?

However I also found a "missed call" on my cell phone from 416-477-2756. Aren't these people getting in debt trying so hard to save others? It seems they are calling indiscriminately all over Ontario.

These guys are a debt settlement company. They'll charge you $900 to help you settle your debts and then do nothing for you. Completely unethical business owned by a former bill collector.

416.477.2756 just called me.  I have had this new phone # for all of a week.  Where do they get their call list?  They must have a [***] magician on staff if they're gonna fix my debt.

I have searched this golf courses info. there number must have changed from 416-477-2756 to 905-477-2756. It seems like alot of people have been having trouble with this number.

If you wait till the end you can press #2 to remove your self from their calling list.

Yup. What that does is confirm your number and confirms that you listened to the whole message.

Do you think that will make these crooks stop calling you? LOL. It means they identified you as a sucker and you just got added to more sucker lists, so get ready for even more junk phone calls.

Don't answer a number you don't recognize. If you answer, hang up as soon as you know it's a scam. Or have a whistle/airhorn handy in case you get one of the scammers live, then blast them.

Don't call the number back. Don't follow scammers' fake instructions to 'remove' your number from their list, you are dealing with crooks and liars.

I just received a call from 416-477-2756 on my work cell??

There is no use calling the Metro Toronto Police!  I had a VERY long discussion with their Central Dispatch today and was told we have to live with unwanted telemarketer calls because they are not considered criminal in nature.  I tried to tell Central Dispatch that I consider the frequency of calls harassment and they should search the web using the phone number to see the number of people being harassed.  But it did not matter to them as they consider my complaint as only pelrtaining to me and that it wasn't harassment. Perhaps if we 'all' contact the police they may take action!

I also have received calls on my cell phone,  all from one debt consolation fraudster.  And my cell phone number is unlisted.  (I.e. Private). They must be hacking our provider's database.  I don't know what to do.  CRTC has had several complaints and M etro Toronto Police will not help us.  ):
